Hoping he raids the Utd and PSV fringe players and get a few loanees in that he can trust.

Maybe his mate Maresca can give us a few Chelsea boys aswell!

I’d have loved Amad on loan think it’s abit unrealistic now which is a shame

I hope RVN can teach them how to pass forward so the recipient can receive the ball while moving in his stride and in the right area. We are very bad at this 90% of the times.

See my post above with a link to a tactical article, but a picture saves a 1000s words.

Good picture for others that don’t understand. Either the 8 or 10 numbered from the picture will be one of the wingers drifting inside, with the wingback filling that space left by the winger.

I think on the limited time RVN has had he will watch footage from Enzo’s side to see who plays what roles well.

Personally I think we will look as follows:

GK - Mads

LB/LCB - Faes/VK (Faes preferred on the left over Okoli as he’s better on the ball in tighter spaces than Okoli when playing more as a left back whilst defending. Hopefully VK plays the role but we all know the issues that brought up last year)

CB - Vesty

RCB - Okoli/Faes

RB - JJ (Playing as a wingback to accommodate Buonanotte drifting inside rather than Kristensen on the left, McAteer may be an option here short-medium term)

CDM - Skipp (Winks out)

CDM - Ndidi

RW - Buonanotte (Drifting inside from the right to create another CAM)

CAM - Ayew/Bilal (Would prefer Bilal here show some confidence in him and his confidence will improve in return)

LW - Mavididi (Holiding the width on the left to create 1 vs 1 scenarios as well as making diagonal runs in behind)

ST - Vardy (Get Vards back at what he does best run in behind into channels, stretch the back line and make them drop deeper creating space for the CAM’s. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Ayew here tho dependent on what build up play RVN wants from his striker.

having played under Sir Bobby Robson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Fabio Capello and Manuel Pellegrini
If Ruud hasn’t learned anything from those coaches, he’ll never make it as one himself.

Would help if we had players in the midfield that are capable of doing it, Coopers midfield was a disaster

In morning meetings in workplaces across Nottinghamshire this morning, the first item on the agenda will be how much they don’t care about us. Neighbours chatting over their garden fences will chuckle at how irrelevant we are to them. Christmas shoppers exchanging pleasantries in the Victoria Centre will ask each other, “Do you care about Leicester?” And every time the reply will come, “Absolutely not!”

Gunmen in the meadows will shout “do you care about Leicester?” as they let off a volley of lead, “absolutely not” their victim will reply as they fall to the ground clutching their bloody chest.

That's how Enzo achieved that shape but Van Nistelroy usually achieves the same shape in a different way.

Instead of having the RB move into the CM role, he would have him move to the RW position with the RWer move in beside the 10 to complete the box alongside the two deeper midfielders.

Where Enzo's way probably is more suitable to the defenders we have now,  I think Ruuds way would suit the attacking players more with Facundu tucking in alongside Bilal. The only question would be, who plays that RB role?

Kasey without Abdul

Time to draw a line under the last 13 and start over. We’re above the drop zone so it could be worse and most importantly we’ve pulled the manager trigger before everyone around which puts us in a good position (see Villa and Wolves 22/23).

Ruud seems an authoritative figure so hopefully for now he can get everyone by the bollocks and get them running and fighting for the club again. Tactics and style can develop later.

3 out of next 4 are at home - could very well determine our season. Time to make KP a fortress.

What about the ten years he spent crafting his coaching skills?

Imagine thinking a joke about 3 box 3 being a slightly annoying phrase meant you didn’t know what it meant.

I know right, embarrassing. Everyone knows it's a Jake Paul + 2 Friends vs Logan Paul + 2 Friends, boxing vs WWE triple tag team cross over fight streamed on Netflix to prove once and for all who is the toughest #3box3

The player he was when he first came into the team, is completely different from the player he is now, unfortunately. Did ok on Saturday, considering.

But I'm looking forwards, not backwrds, to the player Thomas could be if the manager works on reigniting his confidence and playing him in a better-organised defence.  I reiterate my point that he is potentially a good passer of the ball, and accurate forward passing of the ball out of defence has been a bad failing in the team this season, one of the reasons why we put ourselves into trouble and don't get enough attacks starting.

Really want him to succeed at LCFC.

He seems to have got the right attitude in how to manage different personalities, as well as having a desire to be the best that he can be (for example, talking in-person to different manages in different cultures prior to his past managerial experiences).

I think Thomas can be satisfied with his performance on Saturday, considering where he has found himself in the pecking order. I still think he has a good career somewhere, but it would be good to see him improve this season with us. We are going to need all the rotation we can get.

Details of his backroom team are yet to be revealed, but he is expected to bring in a smaller staff than previous Leicester managers and is said to be a hands-on coach.

His experience in developing emerging talents is one of the qualities Leicester admire most. He has a reputation for becoming popular with players as he works closely with them to help them improve. For example, he spent hours working with Fabio Silva, the Wolverhampton Wanderers player who was on loan at PSV in 2023.
