Such as the assist I'm sorry, normally I try to understand differing opinions but I just can't get on board with this one. What you are saying makes no sense. Every player has moments where they are not 9 out of 10, but for the majority of the game he was good. Just cannot understand someone singling out a player who has been good ( not amazing granted) and incidentally has also been one of our best players. Just don't get it. 1
Daggers Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 Ahhh, they've replaced someone who can't score with someone who can. That's something other managers should take note of. 4

He’s not going to make the players world beaters in 48 hours but there’s such an obvious improvement. Yes I think it is very noticeable the improvement in effort and application. We haven’t seen the bunching of defenders seen in the last two games either. There are still big gaps in midfield but the closing down and blocking has improved. With the players available we were never going to play a high line tonight. 1

Neither are good enough to be relied on in that position. They’re way off it in fact. We are playing with two defensive midfielders, yet there is zero protection for the back line. West Ham are 14th and we’re at home. They have battered us. 20 shots against us in one half … doesn’t look good. We do really need to control the ball though. Also, we need to play on the other side of the pitch rather than trying to have Ndidi whose role is simply to defend. Keeping the ball and attacking is the best way to stop the opposition playing in your half and taking so many shots. Still therefore the key is to drop Ndidi.
Simonb Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 This'll be carnage.. bowen, summer ville, kudus rotating. We were confused enough
Aus Fox Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 See the Match thread is living upto it’s reputation as the beacon of positivity we all need in our lives. Compared to what we’ve been served up recently, this has been a huge improvement. Did we still make lots of mistakes, yes, with the players we have available, we always will. We simply don’t have the quality to expect perfect passing and no mistakes. All we can ask for is the lads put a shift in each week, and that’s what’s happening. Back the lads, we need this 3 points! If we can put a shift in for the next 45 it’s a perfect Ruud building block to work on what we need to. 3

Clueless defensively and positionally, with and without the ball. His decision-making with the ball constantly lets him down. Could've put Vardy in on a 1v1 but instead decided to go in himself. 1

Leeds Fox Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 Summerville to tear us to shreds along with Bowen… no idea what the thinking was starting Ings. Massive half for us.

The tackles/battles he’s won so far might not look like much but they’re ones that swing the tempo or stop dangerous situations maturing. To have some doggedness in the middle makes a massive difference, but we’ve been under it and he can’t do it all on his own. Yep and i'm not ignoring those moments, he got back to help Kristiansen out around the 47th and got a good slide in to stop the attack, moments later he then fell asleep and let 2 drift past him, he's been one of our better players in a very poor overall performance, all that happened was live during the game I commented that he looks nowhere near up to speed because of the sloppy pass and sluggish foul he gave away moments later, it was just a live response reaction as I've seen him make multiple sloppy attempts at passes/tackles. I'm glad he's throwing himself about and others need to do it more. 1

Hopefully that remains the case at the end, but logically if you keep letting a team attack/create. Sooner or later it’s going to cost you. 1

City blue Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 Well I'm seeing something that I haven't seen from them so far so I'll take that positive and hope for more of it
Tielemans63 Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 Summerville for Ings is very bad news for us

FoxesWalk Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 Prefer VK vs Kudus, but Justin vs Summerville isn’t ideal…
RowlattsFox Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 Might not work but good to see a manager change something at half time and at least recognised a problem. 1

StanSP Posted 3 December 2024 Author Posted 3 December 2024 Changed to a 4 4 2. Bilal up top with Vardy. Mcateer left and Buonanotte on the right
FoxyPV Posted 3 December 2024 Posted 3 December 2024 We may be sh1te but jesus, I'd hate to follow West Ham
