So you picked out a couple of poor moments as "not up to speed" ignoring all the good things that probably balance out the negatives? Such as the assist

I'm sorry, normally I try to understand differing opinions but I just can't get on board with this one. What you are saying makes no sense. Every player has moments where they are not 9 out of 10, but for the majority of the game he was good. Just cannot understand someone singling out a player who has been good ( not amazing granted) and incidentally has also been one of our best players. Just don't get it.

Big improvement in intensity, desire, putting a foot in. He’s not going to make the players world beaters in 48 hours but there’s such an obvious improvement.

Yes I think it is very noticeable the improvement in effort and application. We haven’t seen the bunching of defenders seen in the last two games either. There are still big gaps in midfield but the closing down and blocking has improved. With the players available we were never going to play a high line tonight.

Soumare has been better than Ndidi, I’ll give you that, but he’s still been poor.

Neither are good enough to be relied on in that position. They’re way off it in fact.

We are playing with two defensive midfielders, yet there is zero protection for the back line. West Ham are 14th and we’re at home. They have battered us.

20 shots against us in one half … doesn’t look good.

We do really need to control the ball though.

Also, we need to play on the other side of the pitch rather than trying to have Ndidi whose role is simply to defend. Keeping the ball and attacking is the best way to stop the opposition playing in your half and taking so many shots.

Still therefore the key is to drop Ndidi.

See the Match thread is living upto it’s reputation as the beacon of positivity we all need in our lives.

Compared to what we’ve been served up recently, this has been a huge improvement.
Did we still make lots of mistakes, yes, with the players we have available, we always will. We simply don’t have the quality to expect perfect passing and no mistakes.

All we can ask for is the lads put a shift in each week, and that’s what’s happening.

Back the lads, we need this 3 points! If we can put a shift in for the next 45 it’s a perfect Ruud building block to work on what we need to.

Mcateer has been fine at least we have some kind of threat and he works his socks off

He's been our worst player by a country mile.

Clueless defensively and positionally, with and without the ball. His decision-making with the ball constantly lets him down. Could've put Vardy in on a 1v1 but instead decided to go in himself.

He’s been good. You can paint it however you like but I think many will disagree (that doesn’t mean you’re wrong).

The tackles/battles he’s won so far might not look like much but they’re ones that swing the tempo or stop dangerous situations maturing.

To have some doggedness in the middle makes a massive difference, but we’ve been under it and he can’t do it all on his own.

Yep and i'm not ignoring those moments, he got back to help Kristiansen out around the 47th and got a good slide in to stop the attack, moments later he then fell asleep and let 2 drift past him, he's been one of our better players in a very poor overall performance, all that happened was live during the game I commented that he looks nowhere near up to speed because of the sloppy pass and sluggish foul he gave away moments later, it was just a live response reaction as I've seen him make multiple sloppy attempts at passes/tackles. I'm glad he's throwing himself about and others need to do it more.

I’m not blind I am watching the game!
I know we are shit, I know we need new players but WE ARE WINNING!

I’m not sure what people expected after one training session with the players! This isn’t perfect but WE ARE WINNING!

Hopefully that remains the case at the end, but logically if you keep letting a team attack/create. Sooner or later it’s going to cost you.

20 shots conceded in that half

Via the BBC

The last team that had 20 plus shots and not scored at half time was Crystal Palace on April 1st 2023, against??

Yep that’d be us again
