He has been given a lot of credit by the media & he talks of himself as if he's a top class coach/manager - but there seems to be very little evidence to support that.

[Tell me you didn't watch it without telling me you didn't watch it]

He literally discounts himself as being one of the top managers.

I didn't watch it this morning, but someone posted the video a while back (I think before we appointed RVN) & I watched it then.  I've been a bit harsh on him.  I just think it's time for him to 'shit or get off the toilet'.

It seems he's putting himself out there with his media presence.  It will be interesting to see who he eventually takes a job with & how he gets on.

So he's not on Chelsea gardening leave then?

Thought with his £10m a year plus deal with them he was reluctant to take up a new contract and lose some/all of that money.

Yeh I thought he was still employed by Chelsea and any new employer would have to pay out his contract

What would you expect him to win with a Swedish fourth tier side, Swansea in the Championship and Brighton who had avoided relegation by two points when he joined?

The fact he got to that level at all as a complete unknown shows there is something good there.

Yeah I get he won it with an unfancied side, but Swedish league level isn't too much to get excited about. Quality players have come out of Sweden over the years but most never stay, they quickly move on soon as massive european club comes in for them.

I think some manager's can be talked well into a job, especially managers with good agents. Watching Potters football based at his time at both Brighton and Swansea was the football actually that amazing or was it just basic standard. I'm not suggesting he's bad manager in anyway, he's certainly better than some, but yet to be seriously convinced.

There's many manager's ahead of Rowett, still don't make Potter amazing. Even Cooper got a team promoted... whilst Potter never did.
