Simonb Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 Is Cartwright any good? Assuming he's a CM looking at the senior options on the bench

jim5000 Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 McAteer starting instead of Buona Ruud has been smoking the crack pipe again

Popular Post Skidmark Posted 14 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 14 December 2024 Have thought the criticism of McAteer has been rather harsh. Lads played well when he came in. First half vs Brighton he looked like the most attacking player. Against fullbacks who push on he'll be more effective than Bounanotte. 12

His long passes are that good. 😂 I read Skipp but registered it as Winks, need to start using my brain like Kasey. Same same but different (as the Thais say) 1

Love it …! Cooper does that and it’s ‘clown ball’, ‘clueless’, ‘coward’ and ‘weak mentality’ He’s not starting our best player!!! 2 1

It’s just his end product has so far been terrible and he can’t beat his man and get the ball in.

Skipp and Choudhury will get booked for sure In fairness, Facundo was pretty awful last time out. I imagine he'll be on off the bench, will hopefully be back to his old self and then he'll start next time. 9 1
coolhandfox Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 Buonanotte has a habit of giving the ball away in bad areas especially in our own half, if it was a home game he would play But we are away and have a weaken DCM area, so I can understand him going a little more conservative.

You can pick up you like, but having your team organised should be a given. Is Cooper a relative of yours? Edited 14 December 2024 by coolhandfox 4
FosseSpark Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 this Cartwright lad has come up on the rails. Alves must be a bit miffed given how long he's been with the first team squad. 2

I was surprised to see him get called back into the first team initially, but against West Ham he was effective on the counter and got an assist. Not bad for a lad who's still learning to get up to speed with the Prem.

Trust his decision though Just keep in the game for the first half, frustrated them, then there is a positive outcome available in this one. Cone on lads 1
moore_94 Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 It isn’t a choice of Cartwright or Alves on the bench in this scenario Alves’ competition is Facundo/Reid/Ayew 4
Viva Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 Alves clearly doesn't deserve to be ahead of anyone on the bench. That's why he's not in the squad. 3
