Again, is there any confirmation that Mads is even out on Sunday?

We weather the next three games as best we can and get the cheque book out in January. As cack as the transfer business was in the summer, it was also held back by the then impending points deduction.

With no such concerns now and a more charismatic manager, you'd think we'd do more business.

Surely we cant keep persisting with Justin/Kristiansen as full backs.... I know our options are limited but its a serious problem.

That's a good point - We don't have 4 good defenders though do we.

Do you push Faes out at RB or Hamza?

LB is either Victor or Thomas - which is a choice of either throwing up over yourself or soiling yourself?

Who else?

This is it. There isn't anyone else.

Hence why I keep banging on that RVN just has to weather the storm until January and then dip into the transfer market. He's obviously worked out that we're short from interviews with the press and has confirmed he'll have money to spend.

I think we need to go to a back three and use them as wing backs. Removes some of the pressure in term’s defending and we can use them to get forward. We’ve got to pack out the middle of the pitch, because we’re not disrupting the opponents passing lanes enough and it’s why we are getting cut to ribbons at times, and conceding a lot of chances IMO.

I've had food poisoning at the weekend so I didn't even get to choose that

Wolves are getting the kind of manager who will stick rockets up the players asses....get results short term but long term it will all implode and he'll likely start a fight in an empty room

Surely the new goal keeping coach, RVNs only new assistant, will be giving a very close look at Ward, and hopefully a word in Ruuds ear. And the word is....

It depends if we can play anyone else.

Iversen even if he's on his way in January, or the under 21 keeper are far better options.

There maybe reasons why Iversen won't play. He is clearly a better keeper than Ward but it seems obvious something has happened there.

As much as we want to believe there is a magic solution in the U21's, if someone isn't ready yet then it could be completely detrimental to their development.  I don't know, but i don't think its right to say the solution sits there.

Have to pray Mads is fine or Jakub is ready following injury. But even with Jakub, there is no match fitness there. Its a risk.

More a risk to keep on selecting Ward, he costs us big time.

I would rather we were playing Iversen (assuming Jakub isn't ready yet). Hes a better shot stopper, but that comes with a huge risk with how we play. Iversen offers nothing defensively. Ward offers something, but at the expense of being calamitous in goal.

I would hope that 9am this morning was one of the highest priority meetings at Seagrave to work this out. There might not any solution that makes any of us happy in the short term if Mads injury keeps him out for a while.

If we had 11 very tall and wide gentlemen and stacked them in a certain orientation just in front of the goal, would any gaps be large enough for a Wolves player to get the ball through?

Just theorycrafting contingencies in the event of Ward having to start.

I genuinely believe if we invest in January and Ruud gets the players in he needs, we have a good chance of staying up , and a good base to push on next year. This is a huge window coming up.

If Ward is playing, we lose. We just have to accept that.

The defence we have is poor beyond words and to put a poor goalkeeper behind them ... only means one thing ...  a loss even against a less than average Wolves side

Until Saturday, where we went with an extremely makeshift midfield to one of the most difficult away days in the league, we'd been playing with much more confidence under RVN. With returning players and decent transfer business, I think we do OK.

He plays in goal that's why

So does Mads. But the way Mads plays means at times we operate with another defender. Its why bringing Ward on was more calamitous than just his performance in the goal.

If Mads is out, they need to be planning now how the defence operate different to accommodate a different keeper.
