I want to love Top, but so many things are stacking up against him - the total absence of the promised root and branch review following relegation being top of my personal list.

I don't live local anymore so can't get to many games, but I have been watching the matches and today was a new low on top of other new lows. On it's own, that might be fine, but this is starting to feel like a death spiral we won't get out of, and as others have said, if we do get relegated, I fear we might be proper ducked, what with he EFL sharpening their knives and all.

If he stood up straight, grew some balls, and cleared out the Exec level, I might reconsider my judgement of him, but nothing he's done so far leads me to think he will, so rather than booing Danny Ward (I agree he isn't good enough, but booing him doesn't help), maybe we need to let those in the Prawn Sandwich seats know how we feel.

Top, Top, wherever you may be

What have you done to Leicester City

While we thank KP, for everything you've done

We think it's time for you to be gone

My only concern is if not KP... then who?

Can I borrow your time machine please.

I just need to get the winning lottery numbers for every draw next year.

Oh come down mate. I mean Top’s son is now the owner and we’ve slipped down to the third division. However the “you’re entitled” group in the fan base remains strong.

The position we find ourselves in is utterly staggering….. how can we have got it so wrong, when clubs like Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth seemingly get it right, and yet they’ve not achieved half of what we have in the last ten years?

It’s like going to an all you can eat Indian buffet, going up to get your food, and returning to the table with a can of petrol and a spare tyre, and wondering why you’re hungry on the way home…..

They all have a strategy. A clear vision. A culture that is throughout the club and essential for its success.

The CEO wants to land a man on the moon, the cleaners want to land a man on the moon etc. They all do their bit.

We have silos, egos and individuals on self preservation missions. As someone pointed out here before, none of our senior staff are ever head hunted. The club has outgrown most of them. It’s rotten.

Our problem is our lack of culture. Zero strategy across the board and a business run on knee jerk reactions and recovery statements.

The club as it stands have never been held accountable or pressured for its real vision and then the delivery of that. I’m hoping this is something the new blood in the trust will drive because they should’ve been doing this for years instead of having their tummy tickled.

I think on reflection the thing I most dislike about Brendan Rodgers now is that he didn’t walk at the beginning of 2022/23. It was clear he’d lost any belief in the hierarchy but waited for the pay off. If he’d have walked then it would’ve brought a lot more attention to the situation. Likewise I wish Maresca had been a bit more vocal on the things that clearly made him uncomfortable at the club. I assume Top is a nice person, so a) those people won’t slag him off publicly which is fair enough b) it means that it’s incompetence rather than anything more toxic, and I’m not sure that makes it any better.

We do need a review on the  running of the club, any business was ran like this there would be review and top to bottom change made, repeated failure at an executive level. Not just football performance wise but the general match day experience for a fan has gradually gotten worse and worse, the apathy is evident game to game and as much as I love to blame our fans for it, it is sad now, the fanzone was pretty pathetic looking, a car park with a big metal can van

I'm not saying new owners wouldn't be able to change anything, but it doesn't solve the fundamental problem that without coming from a low cost base, finding unbelievable talents like Vardy, Kante and Mahrez to complement a well put together squad and a bit of luck, even being in the top 10 for more than a few seasons is going to be impossible under the current funding rules.  PSR ruins football for everyone but the richest clubs.  Changing owners doesn't change that.  You will see it with Brighton, Brentford etc. very very soon, even though they have learnt from our mistakes on wages and spending.

Assorted points:

We are the worst-run club in the league and have been performing below par vs spend since the months before the cup win - the cup win masked the problems really

The club needs a reset and KP/Top need to work out if they still want to own the club

There was an opportunity for a reset when we went down and we did nothing - same people in charge - and stumbled to a promotion

The recruitment/squad management has been terrible for years - Coady on mega money/fee when he couldn't get into 17th place Everton team, was behind Nelson for a place in the team at points last season. Some bright spots (Mads/Fatawu) but seems like the chaps finding these guys are not trusted to do it all and we are still quite agent led/manager led/reactive - see Coady/Ayew/Skipp etc.

How anyone could look at our squad at the end of August and decide what we need is Oliver bloody Skipp for £25m is beyond me, Levy must have been doing backflips

The club need to accept they are behind Bournemouth/Fulham/Brentford/Brighton et al and learn from them on how to run it better - data/strategy whatever

Seagrave has been a massive waste of money

Top is the frog in a pot of boiling water - does he realise how bad it is? Whining post relegation statement/retaining Rudkin suggests not

They need to put Rudkin on gardening leave and get someone who knows how to run a football operation in

Agree with all except that point.  If Top wants to spend his money there outside the PSR rules it can only be a good thing.

We're a shrine to Vichai. There's absolutely no way KP leave for many years to come.

But remember we were once in League One, so don't worry about it.

They already arent our owners.

I dont care about whether we Championship, EPL, League one, clubs have cycles.  I do care about bad management of the club though, the owners havent got a clue, I say it again, havent got a clue.

I can live with squad not clicking, managers having brain farts, even a owner who is broke but still competent.  But whats going on now?

But dont worry, fans attending get a free drink, scarf every now and then, its all good.

For me to accept Top and his family to stay, they probably need to put a ton more money in, play dirty AKA breach PSR, be business is business in replacing staff like Rudkin and start making football decisions that make sense.  It isnt in him though.

All this club needs is Rudkin Out as he is one of the reasons we are floundering, letting contracts of decent players run down giving new contracts to players who need to be shipped out thinking he knows who to sign.

Top needs to shake this club by the balls throw out the Trash sell the deadwood and put a few quid in the transfer budget for RVN to bring in some quality players, change the board bring in a DOF who knows how to actually know what he’s doing and start with the stadium expansion to bring in much needed funds !!

They're shit.

Won't be long until Comms Director and chief propaganda officer Anthony Herlihy asks for this to be taken down, so pile in whilst you can!

Out of interest has that actually happened previously, and if so have threads actually been pulled? Surely living in a democratic society people have a right to express an opinion so long as it isn't libellous/illegal. Just wondering why threads would be pulled if they are legitimate in nature and don't cross any lines.

I mean the problem is the forum admins dont explain why they keep pulling threads, so people will speculate.

I dont think its libel to suggest the possibility the club is in communication with the management of this site.

Don't agree with the central theme of this thread.

Most PL fanbases - including Wolves's yesterday, as they made clear both during and after the game - would kill to have the success we've enjoyed during the King Power era.

And the circumstances of Vichai's demise mean his family will always have an emotional and spiritual bond to the club, and to the City of Leicester in general.

Even if a crazed Musk-style billionaire was to make a generous offer to take the club off Aiyawatt's hands, it's far from certain he would accept.

That doesn't mean, though, that Foxes should passively accept the crap that's been thrown at us at recent times.

Changes are needed.  Both the chief executive and the director of football are no longer fit for purpose and should be moved on.

That is a message that any self-respecting external consultants would have given the owners, if the root-and-branch "review" promised post-relegation in 2023 had actually happened.

Seagrave is a monstrous white elephant, a vanity project which the owners should not have approved, at least until the club was able to fund it adequately through regular Champions League appearances.

We were so close to reaching that level.

But over-investment - financially and emotionally - in individuals (note the plural) whose ultimate lack of belief held us back at crucial times.

And since these errors have not even been recognised, let alone addressed, they are continuing to this day.

He obviously cares. And that's more than can be said for some of the parasites running great clubs into the ground in this country.

But he's put too much faith into a glorified PE teacher- he's a businessman and in business terms, it's a horrible decision. I'm not 'King Power out' just yet- still have hope that the penny will drop- but we've certainly pissed away our status as a top level club. Whether he's got the minerals to claim it back remains to be seen.

Last chance saloon in my eyes.

People say about him being a businessman but in what other line of business (awful term as I write that on a football forum) would this failure be allowed to continue? When business fails there are usually people that lose jobs, board changes etc, but at our club nothing has changed. Nothing has changed since the last failure two years ago.

Let’s fsce it. We are essentially being run by a Nepo baby. Similar to when Kanye West’s kid got a lead role in Lion King and destroyed it. 😂 it’s basically, exactly the same situation.
