King Power Out

I’m sorry but there are a couple of other KPFC sympathiser bingo card examples here:

1) doesn’t have the business flair of his father

 2) spread himself too thin looking after other parts of the King Power business

Add to “he’s naive and he’s been poorly advised” and you only need “this never would have happened without Covid which was completely unforeseen”, “he’s still grieving the tragic loss of his father” and “he was there for the success so must have had an impact on that” for a full house!

I personally struggle to credit any business owner who has been handed their empire with business acumen. It’s a bit like saying Prince Harry is a natural networker or a philanthropist - these opportunities have been granted and not earned.

Top is not spread too thin running other things unless you count bouncing around on a pony playing polo as a King Power job. He’s been moved aside in King Power because he’s shown himself to be the same in other roles as he has this one with the club: incompetent.

Finally, he’s sort of done an in between of the two scenarios you describe and the bit in bold. He’s stayed away (leaving the likes of Rudkin to run things for him - albeit without absolute decision making authority) and now put the club quietly up for sale but only because he literally has no other option (he’s not doing this because he’s had some great light bulb moment that he’s not capable).

However, despite staying away, he’s still maintained a huge amount of final sign off on even some of the smallest things. So it’s the worst case scenario: delegation without empowerment. And the fact the final say rests with the person least competent in having it, has been a recipe for disaster.

You are on a very odd witch hunt aren't you. lol

Nope. I’m just calling out nonsense where I see it.

The club’s a mess and we see news like the interest being paid on those loans yesterday and still people want to be sympathetic towards, or defend, the owners.

It’s high time these views are called out, challenged and addressed.

It would be easier if he didn't care. He'd farm out the running of the club, stay away and quietly put it up for sale. The fact he's trying to run it and oversee the King Power business whilst that hits difficult times seems to be a case of spreading himself to thin. That and he doesn't seem to have the flair for business of his father. The fact he's accepted the need to sell the club at least 24 months too late (though I'm sure the instruction probably happened a few months ago) is an interesting sign.

Generally in my experience nativity is more damaging than checking out in management. Those out their depth but insistent their overly ambitious plans will come to fruition do far more damage. Lack of care is far easier to mitigate as long as you have good subordinates who will run things you neglect.

Feel free to call out what you like but you're mistaken if you think I was giving him a get out of jail free card.

He got bounced out the KP buisness 2 years ago

All he does is play polo and gamble

I agree with just about everything you have recently posted on this.

Aren't you involved in the @Foxes_Trust? I hope you are and would like to see the Trust take a more hard line approach towards how the club has been mismanaged.

The softly softly negotiating approach will not work because the club are not interested. They will just carry on regardless with their incompetent and shambolic decisions until it is too late.

The only way forward IMO to get rid of KP/Top/Rudkin is to aggressively call them out about everything they've done to ruin us.

We're talking about the very existence of our club here, and I believe that an assertive KP out campaign from a respected supporters Trust will rapidly gain traction in the national media.

I want to see this King Power Out thread at the top of the topic list every day. I don't want to see this thread go quiet if we get a few decent early season results, as it won't change anything in the way the club is being run into the ground.

There's no more time for letting them be unaccountable, we need to get them out.

I have a saying that fits almost all situations:

"Things are never as good or as bad as they seem".

This is the exception.

Why do you think Chelsea have abandoned their approach of not bring in seniors players.

You need some solid pro around them, which is why Chaplin and Mcathy could be decent signing.

I think you will see 4 to 6 in the starting 11.

Well we in League one not the EPL.

Yes, I joined the board as part of the Foxes Trust Reform campaign.

We’ll be discussing at our board meeting next week where we go next. We’d asked for progress on a couple of things in particular by the end of July off the back of the End of Season Survey so the next board meeting is an opportunity to see where we’re at.

Having been on the inside of the Trust, I have to say it’s a tough one: for every person like you that wants us to be hard line, we’ll get another message in to say the Trust is being too radical. The approach we have to take as a board might not always be what we’d personally want (that’s the nature of being part of a board with different views, opinions and personalities) but if there’s a clear mandate to do something then we try our best to do so.

As we’re seeing, it takes time for people to reach the point of wanting change but, whatever our personal views are as board members, we do ultimately have to be led by what our membership want and tell us they want.

Thank you for your reply.

I appreciate the time and effort that you and the other board members at the Trust put in. I realise that you are trying to influence change at the club, but unfortunately it appears that you are banging your head against a brick wall.

The radio silence from Top and Rudkin continues with zero communication to the fans. They treat us all with absolute disdain.

There really is no hope for us going forward unless Top/KP/Rudkin are removed from the club.

Rudkin has to go, which was the Trusts number 1 action point to the club but he remains untouchable. Top/KP leaving is more difficult as they will only go if the club is sold or goes into administration.

This is not a reflection on you (as your recent posts are in line with my thinking), but I am unlikely to renew my FoxesTrust membership unless I can see that the Trust have made some real progress in forcing change on the aforementioned issues. Otherwise it is not worthwhile to me.

All understandable, but decision by committee is never a good idea.

The current Trust board has been elected and as such,  have the mandate to make bold, muscular, even unpopular, decisions. If the membership doesn't like it, the Board will be voted out  (or subjected to an EGM for a vote of no confidence)

Which brings a question...is the Trust a fans' representative group? Or is it a group to represent the fans? There's a marked difference. I would prefer it to be the latter.

If you have an owner who will cover it then fine, but I'm not sure how much that is the case anymore ......

I'd say Top has nothing to put in. I'd also guess the sale is to save KP back home.

Sadly since Vichai passed they've tried to piss in the big boys pool with a child incharge.

I'd guess in 18/24 months if nothing changes we will be gone or been in admin (if a sale don't happen). Then KP will colapse.

Top will probably end up as a chubby Thai lady boy doing trix.
