It's the overpaid contracts we have dished out that are killing us as far as psr is concerned. Paying stupid money for quite frankly championship/league 1 players.

One truly magnificent blunder after another.

2 relegations in 3 years.

Way to go Top:appl:

But they had a review so this wouldn't happen again?

Despicable human being by all accounts - pretending he is anything else is now stupid.

If he was a **** but a competent ****, could understand it but the reality is, he will downgrade his family significantly because he just doesn’t want to work. Very lazy and aggressive human being.

Appreciate some details can't be shared...but how is this known, are there any other stories?

If the protest at the arsenal game was the start, where was it tonight.

3-0 down there should have been a massive walk out on live tv which would made top notice more but no,people just sat there talking and laughing and accepting relegation.

Exactly. Couldn't believe the stadium was still majority full on 75 mins. Why on earth would anyone waste their weekend watching that crap?

Vote with your feet. Well done to those who left after 3v0.

Nowhere near majority full. A good 10k plus empty seats by then.

It would have meant more if all those walking out protested outside the stadium rather just sulking off home, pretty much meaningless, 1000's leave early at practically every game when the scoreline is the same.

Winning the English championship once in our entire history has seriously damaged this clubs current fans and not in the way you would expect.

They'd let us fold off the back of it.

Those fans will probably be the like the Forest fans 30 years in the future harping on about the past!

We paid 15m for Kristensen but are about to let Thomas leave on a free who is a better player imo

Everyone seems to think Thomas is out of contract this summer but it’s 2026. As far as left back is concerned, I’d sell Kristiansen, bring a younger player in and see whether Thomas has a revival in him. If he does, there’s a chance for him to stay. He never got the opportunity in the Championship before as Enzo didn’t want natural full backs and he was sent on a couple of poor loans.

Thomas is absolutely fine to play in the Championship, sell VK.

I think so. We would obviously need someone else to come in but if that is a younger player who won’t expect to walk into the side, I would start the season with Thomas, hopefully have a coach who can work with him as I think centre half wise, we will be good with Souttar and Nelson but but the full back areas will need some

good coaching.

I don’t think Thomas is a bad player and always had a lot of time for him. Some of his good games don’t happen by being a bad player. He has obviously struggled in his head, fans turned on him and he came through in a terrible time with Rodgers in sabotage mode. And like I say, then didn’t get given the chance to rebuild himself at a lower level.

Ironically it has taken for fans to turn on our latest left back for the door to be opened for him again.

Two things catching up on this thread.

1) Thomas is not the answer to any of our problems and I can’t believe people think we should even entertain keeping him, take whatever you can as would be pure profit.

2) Back to KP, I’m sure Watford did this but why does Top not make the most of Leuven?

What I mean by that is why not just “loan” one of our overpaid and undesirables there, as would free up their wages from a LCFC perspective surely?

I know that players have a lot of power but change the cushty environment at Seagrave and tell these to55ers they have no future here but they’ll still get overpaid for their bang average ability.

No one wants relegation but it was a slight disaster in 2023 that we brought it to the final day to give a glimmer of hope and to give the clappers a reason to say pipe down.

If relegation is done and dusted by the 3rd last home game which is a possibility the protests have far more merit in them and it will make the powers that be squirm just a little but more.

I'd definitely sell Thomas but if no decent offers came in, he'll be fine to play a season in the Championship. What's scary is what wages he'll be on, and then he'll probably move for a free next summer anyway.

Its because hes not played for a few games. When Okoli hadn't played for a few everyone was ranting as to why he hadn't been picked. Played like sh*t against Brentford and everyone wants him gone.

It’s just realistic.

You may want to sell everyone and buy a new squad but that won’t happen and there will need to be some retained.

It is unlikely that we will manage to offload both LT and VK (talking specifically about the left back position).

VK likely has more interest and can be financially worthwhile.

The bring a new left back in and have Thomas as back up as he has a year left. If he has a good year and actually shows some sign of recovery then maybe. If he doesn’t add anything, he goes.

If there is interest in both and financially worthwhile opportunities to move them on, then yes I suppose that would be worthwhile but I’d be massively concerned about the recruitment of 2 left backs as well as anything else we need.

And no, Justin is not the answer at left back either.
