He also has every right to his pay off if his contract says so.

Potentially very dumb question; why?

Are football/sports contracts written differently so if a manager is sacked they get the full pay out? Compared to a "regular" job contract where if we were sacked

Yes they are. And would you walk away from millions if you were owed?

Given his history of developing youth, was he the reason we blooded so many academy players. It will be interesting to see how he gets on.

Could potentially be a good loan move for some players we feel may not get enough game time to develop this season.

If it wouldn’t have been such a shit season would we have seen any of them “blooded” in the league

Blooding , is that u call given them 5 -10 minutes, they should have been given 30 minutes, once we were relegated, just to see how they would go , sticking with the useless lot that got us relegated was just bad judgement

Thing is, once we were relegated, there was still £3.8m in prize money to win. Might come in useful.

if he does still want to stick around then I’d say that’s a big plus on his character.

Unfortunately that psychic octopus from the world cup would have won more points last season.

Saying he wants to stay is a bit of a moot point. I'd want to stay in a job that paid me millions even though I was the worst person ever to do it.

Ruud was screwed by the board - same old story, yes we have money to spend then it doesn't materialise. They did it to Brendan and Enzo. Not having a window and coming in without his own team initially was a handicap.

However, he was also utterly shit. It doesn't matter if he wanted to stay or not.

He needs to disassociate himself from the Dutchman's narcissism and the Rudkin/Whelan 'dont mention the war'  lala land shithshow. He shows judgement.

Good luck to him

This shows good judgement, going from this to Tan at Cardiff, not so much!
