Totally bonkers to sell our most reliable striker for no real profit.

Sure he isn't the finished product, but could be key to next season in the Championship.

The last thing we should be selling is youthful prospects.

Nah, come on, beat the club for what they deserve to beaten for, but lets not just make stuff up!

He is a decent prospect sure, but hehas not set the world on fire from open play, and most reliable is a stretch (and a half)

I would have liked to see Cannon play alongside a big man like Edouard. Somone to win the Ball in the Box and feed him the chances, which is where he'sdeadly.

Except edouard won’t head the ball and won’t run to get in position. Can skipp play up top???

This one screams the usual suspects apologising on behalf of Rudkin while we get told we “didn’t have enough time” to bring in someone with the funds.

He doesn't even want to play by all accounts. But you get the drift of my thinking. I don't think Cannon is physical enough or quick enough to play the Vardy way.

He is quick enough to react to knockdowns etc in and around the Goal area. And he does have an eye for a Goal.

It seems like we are going for broke in trying to bring people in to stay in the league. And he's an unfortunate victim of the financial politics going on.

Wilder seemed perfectly happy to talk about Cannon signing last night and yet still not announced. Built different

It was the same with Brereton-Diaz.

Someone asked him why he was in the crowd and he was laughing about him being a massive Blades fan.

He trusts the people above/around him to get stuff done. Our managers don’t :)

The hell is going on with this deal as well as the Hamza one

Maybe (and it's a big maybe), we are waiting to get other deals lined up before agreeing for those two to leave? Think back to when we almost signed Jack Harrison, but then didn't, but allowed Albrighton to leave on loan. We actually made the squad worse because of that decision.

He was injured when we bought him, got his surgery and then barely played him.

Waste of time, resources and money in the end.  I liked the look of him, he seemed to always be able to at least shoot at the goal as opposed to wide like our current crop of  forwards.

I think you are giving our decision makers too much credit with that big maybe 🤣

I was referring to the time post injuries, agree there were some positives in the glimpses we have seen, but not really positive enough to warrant the furore for him not to be sold, especially in light of our clear need elsewhere, something we could achieve via amortisation from the sale.

Not bothered either way, but logically it makes sense, assuming we do get who we need in off the back of the exit.....

The impending sale of striker Tom Cannon to Sheffield United of the Championship for £10million will help, even though Everton, who Leicester paid £7.5m in summer 2023 for the player (£6.5m up front and an additional £1m following promotion to this season’s Premier League) are due a cut on any profit Leicester have made thanks to a sell-on clause, believed to be £650,000.

For Cannon, this will be a great move. almost certain to be staring in PL in August, rather than a substitute in Championship.

This makes no sense to me given his goal scoring record in Championship (and the 3 teams that went up are clearly the 3 weakest likely to be relegated). Similarities to decision to sell Chris Wood?

He's already been let go by 2 shit PL teams (Everton and now us). There are questions about his receptiveness to being coached.

He'll have an OK career but probably just continue bouncing between the PL and Championship. He's not the saviour.
