Let's blood them..other teams do.it. Spurs brought on an 18-year old v Liverpool last night and he scored the winning goal. Our club is far too timid about throwing on young talent. 1

Popular Post moore_94 Posted 9 January Popular Post Posted 9 January Ruud Van Nistelrooy Pre-Match Press Conference vs QPR Hermansen and Vestergaard? “On Mads, there’s no update. He’ll be out for a bit longer. That won’t change over the coming weeks. Jannik has been assessed and he’s made his steps. We’re looking to get him on the pitch today or tomorrow, but it’s doubtful for QPR.” Any other injuries? “No. McAteer is back in full team training and if he can continue that, he will be available for the game.” Close to signings? “We’re in the middle of the process. It’s clear where we want to strengthen. We’re working on that day and night. I feel a strong responsibility to get the right players in. It’s a delicate process. It takes time. It requires a lot of effort and work to bring in the right players.” What do you want in window? “We’ve been creating a style of play and players who fit into that are the profiles who can get us to better results. Those are the profiles we have been talking about with recruitment and the people responsible for signing these players. It started in December and hopefully we can present something soon.” How important are transfers? “It’s important because of the situation we’re in. It demands we have to do better. It’s development of the current players and if there are players who fit in the picture, and can make the club better in the long term, then we have to do it.” PSR? “It was a topic in the conversations before I signed. We’re clear on that. There’s no news on that. I’m focused on getting the right players in and winning.” Club confident on PSR? “I think it’s for the club to comment, but the conversations I had were clear and open. We’re on that page and that process. Nothing has changed.” FA Cup? “I love the competition. It’s the oldest cup tournament in the world and the most famous one. It’s important to enjoy these games.” Selection? “We’ll address the squad over the coming days. It’s important to keep our development going. We want to break the current run of defeats. We want to play well and gain confidence. Those are things I’m thinking about and then I’ll make decisions about selection.” Magic of the cup? “I’m a proud winner of the FA Cup as a player. I was able to play in two finals. I know how much it meant to me to win it with United. Now there’s no replays, but it’s a fantastic tournament to be a part in.” Take it seriously? “It’s important to take it seriously. We plan to win every game. But we have to look at the condensed schedule. The Premier League games for this club are vital.” QPR? “At the moment of the draw, they were second or third bottom. The current form has been very good, they’ve collected a lot of points. For us it’s a great example of how things can turn. That’s why we’re aware we’re facing a confident side who are keen to do well in this tournament.” 2 5

Quite quiet and then we had a flurry of links, signings etc. Percy was also adamant that we wouldn’t do a lot of business, we did. Not necessarily good business but a lot more than he suggested. I think there will at least be an attempt to get more than the cheap full backs Percy has spoken about but it’s not half a risky strategy,
filbertway Posted 9 January Posted 9 January Good comments from Ruud. Clearly he's been told we can bring in players in Jan as they're working on it. Club have been open with him about the PSR picture. He's going to take the game tomorrow seriously. Check. Check. Check. Now needs to follow through with the actual actions. 1

chrishlcfc Posted 10 January Posted 10 January I’m taking my niece to her 1st ever Leicester game, just checking whether people think I will get arrested for child cruelty or not? 3
SuperMike Posted 10 January Posted 10 January Ruud Van Nistelrooy Pre-Match Press Conference vs QPR “We’ve been creating a style of play....." ......one that has lead to 5 consecutive defeats. QPR in great form. LCFC dire. Only one winner here.
