adam Posted 11 January Posted 11 January The Alves situation is strange. How is he supposed to improve if he never has a game. Doesn't seem to play much for u23s and can't get a kick for us. 1
CWLCFC Posted 11 January Posted 11 January At least we’ll be able to see how RVN could get on next season 1
South Shire Fox Posted 11 January Posted 11 January Pretty boring side tbh. Would of been nice to see him mix it up a bit. Assume Alves is injured
winteriscoming Posted 11 January Posted 11 January Is Steve Cooper still in charge? Can’t believe there’s no youth team player’s even on the bench.
StanSP Posted 11 January Posted 11 January Didn't expect there to be such a strong lineup. If they can't get the job done I'd start to get worried.
Gazza M Posted 11 January Posted 11 January Get in front, make the changes 2nd half. This unit needs to feel what it's like to win a game again. 2
Number 6 Posted 11 January Posted 11 January Can see this logic in this. We really need to get some momentum behind us against of games we have to pick points up in. Admittedly this also means it could absolutely batter confidence ahead of those games too.

smudger63 Posted 11 January Posted 11 January This has been such a waste of a season for Alves! He has hardly even played any football for the under 21s, because he has been training with a first team squad, that for the most part, he hasnt even made the bench for, and then when he has, has hardly been given any minutes to make an impression. Certainly if I was Alves, I would seriously be looking to move on now, because if he is not injured today, and he can't even make the bench for this game, then he has next to no chance of playing again this season, and is clear that he isn't deemed as good enough. Time for him to find a club that want to use him, and for him to try and prove himself somewhere else.

Noahfence Posted 11 January Posted 11 January Shame we couldn’t squeeze at least one youngster on the bench but i can understand why he’s gone so strong. Alves has to be injured or going out on loan? would’ve loved to see Evans as an attacking sub second half. Hopefully no injuries

I get this, but literally what is the point in having Choudhury or BDCR or Thomas on the bench, could easily find place for a couple of youngsters on the bench and still also play a strong first 11, they aren't mutually exclusive events, both can happen
JonnyBoy Posted 11 January Posted 11 January (edited) Madness line up for the cup when we need to rest players for Tuesday. Feel like I’m living in a simulation at this point Edited 11 January by JonnyBoy
The Hitman Posted 11 January Posted 11 January This is bringing back memories of the Red Star Belgrade match all those years ago 😂
Jattdogg Posted 11 January Posted 11 January Personally, would have dropped vardy (keep him healthy for league game) and Justin (because he is not good right now). Fine with the rest. If we can't win this game, call it a season already lol.
