It's got to happen, first game was in 1937 in the FA Cup 4th round. Second and third games were in 1981, again in the FA Cup 4th round. 1937 and 1981 is 44 years apart, as would be 1981 and 2025 :o

1981 was the last time they even got past the Third Round !

Seen a steward on the floor before the game, hope he is ok, was surround by his colleagues, good win, need it, right to play strong side, couldn't afford another defeat, problem with leaking roof, causing the stairs to be slippery, cause a few problems, hope we get a good draw in the next round, and some confidence in to Wednesday.

So I wasn’t on the match thread so that can’t be levelled at me lol

But it’s a case of looking at it in a balanced way.

A win by a 4 goal margin is great, being in the next round also. Job done.

As someone else said, with them playing their ressies, how good were we? Hard to judge really.

Scoring 6 at any time is great and worth the entrance fee for those who went. You wouldn’t come away grumbling about only scoring 4 if that was the case anyway.

But it’s a shame we still managed to conceded 2. This seems a monkey on our back as it has been said a lot, we need to score minimum of 2 to get anything as is it only 3 games this season where we have conceded less than 2 and one clean sheet?

It’s one of those where even though it’s the same winning margin, a 4-0 win would have almost seemed more positive than 6-2 if that makes sense.

My point is you can only beat what's infront of you. Today was QPR in the FA cup.

Respite from the prem and a beating. We are now in rnd 4.

Today's game is nothing to do with the prem we've won and progressed. So be happy and stop comparing it to a prem game.

If we won it again this season are people going to be miserable while we lift the cup?

Good to see how we will compete next season when we play them.

I thought the first half was a disgrace. QPR looked the PL team.

we sat back and allowed them space. They pressed high with numbers and forced mistakes.

we looked clueless playing out from the back.

Why would people be miserable if we won the cup?

I agree that you can only beat what is in front of you. And as I said, as a stand alone, it’s a good day, job done and into round 4 which is exactly what I said.

I do think it’s fair to look and see what we can take from it into the league games and future rounds of the cup at that. Given the defensive frailties still showed, it doesn’t suggest there will suddenly be an increase in the teams in front of us that we will beat is my point.

But that is an entirely different matter from enjoying todays result and suggesting that anyone who is looking at the wider picture is miserable is unfair in my view but your prerogative.

I think Vardy's 200th will come in the FA Cup if anywhere now.

Hoping we can run this into Palace for a result of some kind. Our league form needs a boot up the arse.

Enjoyed that match today.

I’m not going to be negative but both goals conceded were a continuation of the sloppy mistakes we keep making.

Overall very positive performance, BEK and Facundo need to play together more often.

Just shows the gap between the top two divisions is crazy.

My point is no they would not be. But we've won today and progressed yet some are miserable about it.

Just fvcking enjoy today and worry about the prem Wednesday.

You can tell we’ve won. Post match thread only 5 pages long 3 hours after the games done lol

I've refreshed the page 3 times expecting a lot more "insight". lol

Coady is terrible.

He’s a good man to have in the dugout, and back up, but not a starter. For me, I’d like to see Okoli and Vestergaard start against Palace. Then if they perform, keep them for Fulham too
