Monga is raw as you've said. But I think it's clear to see he's not going to be quite as good as some people like to think he's going to be.

Players tend to hit their prime around age 26, so 10 years of development ahead of him. The lad has literally just done his GCSE’s.

The thing is, the 4 listed, only Owen at 18 looked the real deal. Even Rooney, in his first two years at Everton had flashes of brilliance but it wasn’t until he went away with England and then signed with United that he really exploded - he had two years of professional football before all of that. 
 

Bale was seen as flop until a few years later and a position move - no one would’ve had him down as a Madrid great in his first few seasons. 
 

Essentially I am agreeing with you. Have there been many 16-18 year olds who come in and (using Micah Richards line) burst on the scene and looked the real deal consistently ?. Lamine Yamal maybe ? Early years of Messi and Ronaldo - real talent but Messi was overshadowed by Ronaldinho (rightly so) in the case of Ronaldo - a one trick show pony in his first season at United.

 

Monga absolutely in the development growing phase. The fact he is here is a testament to his talent. He can’t progress here though. Each of those listed above had someone in the team to look up to. To help and aid the development - to take the pressure off. He has to leave to realise whatever potential he has.  

Arsenal might be the perfect fit

It honestly felt like he got worse as the season went on after looking promising when he first came into the senior squad

Disheartening to see a 16 year old be judged to the same standards as a 26 year old would be on here.

 

He's 16 yet is probably the most technically gifted player at the club. Consistency and physicality will come and when that does he'll be a Premier League player.

you seriously can’t expect a 16 to carry the team when seasoned pros around him are crumbling away and Franky, not caring/trying.

Not what I’m saying at all. It wasn’t even meant as a criticism of him. It was more about how rotten we are, that a promising youngsters basically got infected by it.

Absolutely agree regarding it being difficult to judge a lad who is so young. 

But I'm not sure what evidence there is for him being the most technically proficiant at the club beyond how much he's been talked about. 

Will be interesting to see what he does make of himself.

I assume once they've spent 30 mins in a room with Rudders, it'll be approximately 750k-1m and £10m if he makes an international appearance for Belarus.

imagine being a defence trying to cover Dowman on one side and Monga on the other !   arsenals left wing is a lot easier to break into than their right side!

It’s a horrible thought as I hate arsenal with all my being. I think it’s fair to say only Arsenal fans like arsenal, and when they’re wining and moaning even they don’t like them much!
