No disrespect intended to Woyo, but why on earth did we sign him in January? He's made no impact whatsoever, adds nothing, and is in a position where we have too much cover already. It makes me wonder if a number of brown envelopes may have been involved

I mean if your criteria for a signing is ‘cheap full backs’ its quite likely youre going to end up with someone shite. I wonder if teams like Brighton or Brentford have ever looked at a player for that reason..

this has been such a weird signing, at least it was cheap so we can cut our losses easier, I wonder if there are off field issues affecting him?

His home debut was hilarious with him crashing into all and sundry before being hooked at half time.

All I can say in mitigation for him is that the difference between Italian football and the overall top to bottom quality of the EPL is far greater than it used to be, the heyday of Football Italia is long gone. People underestimate the pace and physicality of British football, when they try to fit a match for players from abroad. He has also mostly played in Serie B, which is another level completely. 

 

Doesn't mean he can't adjust in time, but it will require patience and he definitely wasn't what was required at the time with an impatient manager (RVN) and a situation that didn't allow it. At that point you needed someone hardened and ready for that level of football.

He looked awful from my recollection, just glad he didn't cost £25m like some of our other awful signings.  Needs to be sold, a potential blocker to a couple of the youngsters who are as good if not better already.
