Top selling off the club means all three happen.

Unfortunately, it's also the least likely.

Top to sell the club - he's had plenty of chances to sack Rudkin and has chosen not to for reasons best known to himself so he should now just sell up and go. RVN was just another bad decision in a long line of bad decisions and I would hope that new ownership would mean a clean sweep of the club from top to bottom.

2. It would signal that Top has finally put his big boy pants on. As good as a sale.

Whelan was Khun Vichais chief and held the seat at KP and his number 1.

To be fair she knows her stuff.

Rudkin saw an opportunity  to work his way up Tops arse and has succeeded to cause a rift.

Obviously  Rudkin has injected some poison into Tops mind about him being his own man and not needing his Daddys old Deputy.

We need a new Sporting Director who isnt a yes man and arse licker

Can only choose one...

3 by a mile. 2 happens as a consequence. 1 probably does too. In another world Ruud may have worked here but the damage is already done I think. A shame but he's going to be another like Dean Smith for us.

I just have a horrible feeling that Ruud will go elsewhere that's not such a circus and do absolute bits.

My question would be this...

Choose 1.

A- we keep Top in charge and carry on being an absolute shambles where we may scurry around the championship for a few years and maybe push for promotion back to the prem but would immediately be relegated again.

B- we have to drop down to league 1 but we completely reset the club with new owners, board, recruitment team, coaching staff, manager and players and rebuild the club.

I think as fans we need to examine why we're getting angry, we need to evaluate the mistakes made and put them into context before calling out Top.

Lets look at mistakes the club made that got us to this point.

Overpaying contracts for average players which led to no funds for 22/23 and therefore relegation

Poor recruitement prior to relegation

Giving a manager a ridiculous contract they couldn't afford to get out of (Rodgers)

Not acting on the decision makers that made the mistakes. (Rudkin)

Now the good things

Recruiting Enzo

a good summer recruitement overall 23/24 leading to promotion

Staying within PSR limits

Now the bad things again

Recruiting Cooper

Supporting Cooper with poor signings with lack of forsight. You feel they didn't think this through anywhere nearly enough.

Now, employing a replacement manager with little to no experience in the situation we're in, wasn't my idea of the best of decisions, however we can't know how many managers turned us down before we settled on Cooper, perhaps we weren't offering huge wages, perhaps we were honest about the transfer budget, but we have to realise what has been done is done, and we got to move on, new owners, new DOF, new manager isn't going to change anything imo, we're screwed over by poor decisons 4 years ago. This summers signings was probably the best we could get and have hindered us when really we should have been trying to reduce the wage bill even if that resulted in relegation, but if we did this, fans would have been kicking off because we haven't signed anyone, as they have done this January. PSR is killing us, thats the issue really

3. He’s had more than enough opportunities to sack Rudkin so the blame lies solely with him now.

I have no ill will towards Ruud, he’s been dealt a terrible hand.

Ruud isn’t the problem. He’s inherited probably the worst side we’ve ever had respective of the league we are currently in.  Never have we looked so ill equipped for a campaign as we did this one.

like I’ve said before, no manager could sort this. A shit squad is a shit squad.

Rudkin takes the blame for atrocious recruitment but then that’s Tops fault for putting faith in let’s be honest, a complete muppet.

The blame now lies solely at the feet of Top. So he needs to sell up to someone who actually has one iota of an idea of what they are doing, rather than hanging on to dads toy because he thinks that’s what he would want.

Van Nistelrooy did inherit a shit squad but Cooper was picking points up

here and there with the same squad. I don’t see how people can say Van Nistelrooy isn’t the problem when he has overseen 7 games without winning including home games against Wolves and Palace.

There is no way a half decent manager wouldn’t pick up at least 2 points in those 7 games.

As for the initial question, for me Rudkin needs to be sacked and we need a much better director of football.

Cooper picked up points by our relegation rivals going down to 10 men and having Mads Hermansen preventing us losing the others.

Nothing he actually impacted achieved any points.

He also had a pre season to determine our defence wasn’t good enough and didn’t fix this issue. I know the terrible transfers and squad are not down to him, but he must have some say in the thought process of, we don’t need to improve the first team defence, spend the money on Skipp instead.

Wow, before today it would have been an easy 2. Now, 2 and 3 have to happen.

Ruud still needs time, granted things have been going backwards and the substitutions have been peculiar but he's inherited an absolutely honking team and hit with injuries.
