Soumare isn't good. I can't believe people have fallen for it again. Despite the fact we lose every week.

He's not been the ultimate problem in that side, there are bigger offenders, but he isn't good.

classic case of someone being so shit the only way he can possibly go is up

Bang on. A fine example of how our standards have dropped so low these days, gone from being a liability sent out on loan to a regular in our line up.

Do those hankering after Ihenacho forget all the utterly half-arsed lazy performances he put in during the final season? He literally couldn't be bothered and was regularly lambasted (and rightly so) for it on here.

Some people have short memories.

Many problems in defence arise from him not doing the basics in midfield and cbs get caught out because they don’t expect someone to walk through with ease.

But he runs forward a few times a game holding onto the ball for too long and nothing comes from it.

We are more likely to lose players in the remainder of the transfer window. We deserve to go down and Top and co deserve all the abuse we can throw at them. They have  systemically  destroyed this opportunity to re established us back in the PL. Until Top acknowledges we have a problem, nothing going to change!

i'll say it again, no way we get anymore than another 1 or 2 more in,

more than likely 1, cos once again the board has lied to a manager

I think the board are culpable as much as anyone else but how do you know Ruud has been lied to?

Because the board promised funds for the January window

I haven’t heard the board or RVN say that to be fair although with what little attention I pay to them now, I’ve probably missed it.

Because it happened to Rodgers and Enzo too lol

I absolutely get that, you’d have to be an idiot to trust them.

RVN intimated in December that there would be incomings - and he wasn’t shy about saying one or two.  He could have been saying what he was told to say to keep the fanbase in-line but I doubt that.  He’ll be told that unfortunately some deals couldn’t be done out of the club and therefore we couldn’t get those in that he thought we could.   Like all managers are.  And then we’ll see.

at this point I’d take 5 new players being linked!

I know there's a view that we often don't hear about signings until just before they're going to happen, which is true in some cases, it's maddening how little we get linked to players. All that matters is getting them in of course but I really don't think it helps the perception that we're not being active enough or trying hard enough. Realise people would spin that the other way and whinge that we can't get them over the line if linked to loads of that it's just a PR smokescreen to make us think we are trying.

Yet another thing to dampen the mood

If Ruud does walk, they will start to struggle to attract quality managers, look we had 3 goes at Potter, and maybe a few at Moyes?  Looking like they are starting to get a bad reputation, not just from the fans.

Sure Enzo isn't totally positive.

January is never a good time to do business and, if you can, the value is usually poor.

The real root cause of our season has been the absolutely abhorrent summer transfer window. We p***ed all our available funds up the wall on players who were never likely to make the difference required at this level. We would actually have done better sticking with what we’d got and saving funds for this window.

For that summer window alone we should see heads roll. Not that we will and any manager we bring in is now operating with their hands tied behind their back

Totally right keeping it in the pocket, Chuffing Skipp, the point???  BDCR??? Edouard?????

They didn't make any difference to the points we have now.

Yeah he just stood out a bit because he come on and showed a bit of impetus. Bit of an extreme example but reminds me of when someone like Ryan Smith would beat a man and do a decent cross and we'd all think he was the next Henry, just because the rest were so shite.

There's no way he's good enough to play with just Winks. It needs to be alongside Winks and Ndidi. Off the ball some of the stuff is absolutely criminal. Makes it so easy for Premier League midfields.

Ultimately word travels in the industry and those who have rejected us will know we are a shambles behind the scenes.

Ruud walking out would pretty much confirm it for everyone.
