Do what makes you happy. Though I would argue you would get nicer, cheaper pints across the road - same could be said for Morrisons sausage rolls!

No!! I’m not having that!!!! The sausage rolls are the best thing about our club at the moment. 🤨

re the concourse catering (and I use that term loosely) is it still the case that it's franchised / tendered out i.e. the club receive a set amount from the company taking it on or do they get a certain percentage as well or is it now back in their own hands? I seem to remember it being a tendering out before?

I’ve not purchased any merchandise this season, and have only done a couple of Cat C home games in A1 at the cost of £33 (only time a home ticket is remotely reasonable in price).

Other than that it has been away games only with capped ticket prices. There’s been a few Saturdays this season where I’ve made the conscious decision to not pay £50 odd (plus travel) to watch City at the KP, and have opted to pay £18 and watch my local side, Torquay, instead. Cheaper, often more enjoyable, and you know the money is going to a club that really needs it after nearly going bust last season (the new owners are doing an excellent job this season thankfully). No brainer really, sad as it is.

I stopped going to matches this season due to the price they're charging for tickets and I won't buy anything from the club.

The only match I've been to all season is QPR as my daughter was desperate to go to a match and it was a tenner for me and £5 for her.

I miss the match days but it's just such poor value for money I can't justify it any more.

I haven't bought stuff in the concourse for years at home games. Probably a decade now.

Home or away I head to a pub, before the game, for a few pints and some food

Moved away from Leicester last year,so my hand was forced after having a ST for 30 odd years.Still take an interest, but don't miss "The Match Day Experiance" one bit,so they don't get a penny out of me now!Get my fix at my local non league club where i'm not treated as a customer.

I don't think voting with your wallet works.

They already don't want you there because you don't buy programmes, food, scarves, shirts, coffees etc.

They will be more than happy for you to not spend the money going to games so that some tourist can come in and lap everything up.

This has been raised before but surely the contract for the woeful caterers must be up?

They've been a horror show from day one. I don't eat or drink with them but on the occasion I have it's been a Shakespearen tragedy of ineptitude. I'm fairly the certain the staff have some kind of medical brain chip that makes them run on 15% capacity for energy saving purposes.

But if STH don’t buy stuff and they do a bad job of getting tickets on general sale the lack of catering revenue sends a message. Not that they’ll listen but you can’t churn out the same offering at bigger losses.

After not renewing my ST got a few Emails from the club about going to that fan consulting crap and a few other things but I'm done, not spent a penny on them this season, the club want to travel a road I do not, then  I've other things to spend my cash on.

I stopped buying refreshments years ago mainly because of the price and quality.

I did not renew my season ticket last season.

Although some kind family member did buy me the Lego King Power Stadium to build for Christmas, at least I didn't have to wait for planning permission!!

In previous seasons I think I must’ve spent £300-£500 a season on merch for my two lads in kits and other bits. This season I’ve spent zero in the shop and zero on the concourse.

I would hope there’s many others like this. I can’t take KP down on my own 🤣

If that was a team in London then fair enough, but the owners must be dim to think the ‘tourist attraction’ applies to Leicester

Correct - London spilling with cash and clubs surrounded by wealthy boroughs like Kensington and Knightsbridge whilst we have the Saff and Braunstone Estate

Tourist attraction applies to Premier League football.

People travel across the world for it.

Using your voice against them at games will be more effective. Yes it creates a toxic environment around the ground but eventually the penny will drop and they will take notice.

Either that or just don’t go to games if you’re a season ticket holder but it will take a lot of people to not show up to make a difference.

No-one is travelling across the world to watch us or Southampton (they should get tested by a psychiatrist on arrival if so), and you could throw another 10 teams into that bucket.

Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool and Man City yes.

I went into the shop post match on Saturday, from being in there it is clear many are coming from around the world.

How many are we talking in comparison to a match gate of 30,000 fans? I struggle to believe its remotely significant.

Been very easy not to buy any kits this season, all rancid bar the white one plus the god awful sponsor. Put the money from that and away games I can’t get to (despite going regularly for the last six/seven years and never getting any further up the priority brackets) towards trips abroad. Much more valuable and pleasurable
