Has he honestly got 18 months left on his deal? I know it was never announced the exact length and some thought it expired last summer but another 2 years from then would be surprising.

Yeah looks like it is 2026 - below is from Tanner

Luke Thomas has been the subject of a rejected €5million (£4.2m; $5.3m) offer from German club Hoffenheim. The full-back is entering the final year of his contract this summer and has hardly featured under Van Nistelrooy, so a deal could be done for the 23-year-old.

Why are we rejecting absolutely unbelievable offers?

How do you know?

It could be a £1 upfront and the rest if they win the league is that still a good offer?

He should already be on the plane over, come on don't mess this up. Would be a good move for the lad as well.

terrible judgement mate. kristiansen is stronger, quicker, faster... why do you think the last 2 managers have picked VK over thomas. VK is a better play than LT.

Plus VK is younger and has longer left on his contract. He's by no means perfect but if we're choosing one it's obvious.

To be honest Thomas actually played well at Villa.  Wasn't his fault we lost that game.

yeah i remember that 1 game and his goal against Man u. I also remember the tremendous amount of time he looked a boy against men

anyone see VK's tackle for our first at the weekend. class that... VK all day

once hamza and luke are gone.. we will have some space to recruit talent to help us try and stay in this league. up the city

couldnt agree more mate. luke is out of his depth. VK isnt awesome but is a couple of notches up from him. not sure what people are seeing. they must be mates with him, otherwise they must think hes a different player. been looking el khanouss all season instead

Yes, I know there are at least a few people who post on here (or certainly used to), who have vested interest in Luke’s career. Sadly I think this clouded their ability to make an unbiased assessment.

Luke does indeed have a close relative who posts on here.. I’ve had a bit of a run-in with him before about Luke lol

In fairness, he's done OK when called upon but he's been overlooked by successive managers and that tells you all you need to know.

If we're in the Champo next year we're not coming back up so he'd be a fine squad option - although surely on inflated wages like most of our squad.

If we're serious about staying in the Prem, it's worth risking it to cash in and try and reinvest.

That offer literally pays for Pavlovic.

Ffs please tell me Rudkins not doing that deal.

Chef I could only get you strawberry Pavlova from Aldi.

Is that OK?

There's no risk in selling him at all.  He's probably a long way down the pecking order at left back now.  VK is currently 1st choice, but Woyo plays both sides, JJ can and Riccy P has.  If they're all fit LT probably gets in 3rd at best.

Honestly think anything taking his wages is a good deal at this stage. Baffling that anything would have been rejected, request to fine tune sure but a flat out rejection would be utter insanity

Hoffenheim would be a great move for Thomas. Good club. If I were him I'd be really pushing for this transfer. Great opportunity for a fresh start.

I for one would love to see his attempt at speaking German.

Don’t get the ‘hate’ on this lad, was great for us a few years ago, had a dip in form and a loan out as well but did ok when called on for us recently, hope he gets his move and he does well…

Same, young lad, give his all, and was thrown in the deep end by BR.  Yes he may not be first team but why the hate.
