The original source seems to be pretty consistent on Ajax. I think our interest is genuine, whether it's resulting in a bid or not is another matter.

I agree which is why I posted the bit of news, as they are pretty good. 

 

Just never seems to be easy with transfers and wouldn't mind him here.

Not the most exciting signing but winger and centre half are the priorities so if it's low cost and means more budget for those players, then OK with it.

tbh, he's not really know for his pace. Hold's the ball up really well, and lays it off. Good option to have and gives us something a bit different

He’s probably about the level we’re at at the moment. Has scored goals fairly consistently the last few seasons and gives us a bit of physicality up front to hold the ball up. We’re pretty good at getting runners beyond Vardy (Bilal, Soumare, Facu) so could work well. 
 

Does show what a waste Edouard has been as he’s of a similar mould so we’re essentially replacing him without being able to shift him.

I don't hate the idea of a loan with an option to buy. Offers something different. Can link the play better than either of our strikers and he's got physicality to not get brushed off the ball.

 

But we desperately need a winger and a centre half. If we end the window without signing both then we've ****ed it.

As we know, when we get to this stage of the window big John tends to drag them out until the deadline so we're grateful that anything at all has gone through, and forgotten that we actually needed at least 2 other signings and that the signing we did get was an underwhelming one to begin with.
