  1. 1. Should Ruud be sacked?

I put keep because I'm not sure continuinally sacking the manager is the right thing but not convinced by him either.

However he's been severely let down by the board not playing him and that last goal was comical from the players

I am surprised at nearly 4 in 10 thinking there is something they've seen from RvN to date with tactics, selection, man management or game management that suggests he should stay.

How can anyone want him to stay

He is so inept

Team selection - tactics - substitutions all hopeless

Yes he has been dealt a poor hand but the manager has to make the most of what he has

stop making excuses for him just because he was a big player for a big team

I certainly wouldn’t be against him. But it would be just our luck that his methods stop working when he arrives here.

In many ways It would be like bringing Nige back, he’d slowly remove all the over paid prima Donna’s and get some proper defenders in.

with a talented scouting team, it’s honestly always been the way to go for a club like ours.  Get people in who get the defence right, sign the right personality’s and sprinkle some flair and if you get the right parts you can fly.  That’s exactly what’s working for forest right now.

If we had an old school Dyche back four with Ben mee and tarkowski type centre halves… nothing glamorous but solid. And mix that solid with players like fatawu and el khanous and it can be something great.

its hard to make any progress when the fundamentals of defending are just completely missing. In many ways  cooper wanted to be like Dyche.. he just was completely out of his depth and didn’t know how to do it.

His style has shown it can still work, but his style is like marmite, a section of fans will hate it from the get go. Personally it’s not a route I’d like to see us go down, give me an Iraola type any day, but I can understand why a section of fans would advocate for Dyche.

Defensively you’d expect he’d make us more solid. Got a few clean sheets out of his Everton team this season, while even though Moyes has helped in the last two weeks since returning, under Dyche they had one of the strongest defences in the Premier League. I’d crave for a Branthwaite/Tarkowski style partnership right now.

The negative side though is that his Everton team didn’t score many. He’d more than likely want Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin types.

The team we have now is a bit of a jumbled mess, but you make a great point in the third paragraph, you get your model right like Forest are currently doing, you can add Bournemouth to that too tbf, then you can create success.

We laid a good foundation with Maresca, but we simply didn’t build on it this season and now we’re paying the price.

Unfortunately he hasn't got a clue.

I understand the stuff off the pitch is not helping at all but he can controll things on the pitch.

1 question I have. Why not go to a back 5? I'd rather grind out a 0-0 each week at the moment than getting hammered 4-0 by people around us in the league.

I do have a lot more questions but that would be what I would ask him if I had 1

I can see the logic, but would he really want to come having seen manager after manager not given any proper backing in the transfer market for the last 3 years...

Wednesday are a total loon bin.

It was yesterday's Subs that made me know he's not right for us.

The game needed different tactics and shape, so what does he do, swap like for like, and far too late to make any impact.

Watching it made me realise, the guys clueless and not for us.

Well I certainly wouldn’t say no if he took the job once RVN is either sacked or more likely decides to get out

Whats the point in changing manager. No manager will be able to keep us up unless the club invests in players. I know everyone hates Rodgers but he wasnt backed properly and we went down. Enzo called them out for not getting him the players he wanted and jumped ship. RVN has been told there were funds for players. Yet again the club isnt backing the manager and we'll go down again. When it becomes a trend it's no longer the mangers at fault but the club.

Look at Forest. They splashed the cash and stayed up. Now look at them.

It's time for a complete overhaul of the top people at the club. Top needs to press reset after we get relegated or sell up. This current situation can't go on and on. Its horrendous.

Err pretty sure he was backed. It was him signing shit players is part of why we are in this mess. Look at that back 4 for starters, all signed by him

Don't think any manager can sort this out tbh, couldn't care less if he went.. club has made to many bad decisions the most recent was employing Cooper.

The most recent was employing RVN and allowing him to play exactly the same formation and tactics that got Cooper sacked.

Ruud was supposed to stop the rot. Style before substance is his approach. Most concerning is he’s openly admitted this team will struggle all the way to the end of the season. As in we will drop in and out of the relegation zone. Now he maybe just setting our expectations so low that should we narrowly escape it will feel like a massive bonus.

its a different approach to say firing him with 6 games to go and bringing in a manager to save us who will take every drastic action possible to stop conceding goals, start scoring goals, fight for a win or a draw and not lose at any cost.

im just not seeing enough urgency & desperation in Ruud. We are in serious trouble. Everton have pulled themselves out to safety and now wolves look like they have sorted themselves out too. That leaves saints (who showed fight & won yesterday), Ipswich and us looking doomed.

im terrified of being manager less after the last relegation fight but i want Ruud to bring in some outside help to get us out of this especially as he has no experience in this area. He can’t get any new players so he has to make a better fist of what he has!

play some of our academy stars FFS!!! Gotta throw the kitchen sink at this problem not repeat the same mistakes expecting different results.

I put yes but to be honest, that just means yes for next season. I don’t see the point changing again now. The season is done.

We need to sort things behind the scenes and line up ideally Danny Rohl for next season. I’m also intrigued by Wellens as an option given his trajectory.

So leave RVN for the season unless the right option for the Championship next season is available to start earlier. Definitely no to RVN next season.

No point keeping someone for the sake of it. Plan ahead and get a manager in with the carrot of 14 games in the EPL with a mathematical chance of safety on the proviso if and when we go down they will be able to start a fresh and build something new.
