Cannot believe we've rejected that. Whilst it might leave us short, everyone keeps talking about the long term future of this club as a reason for them not spending this month. Get him gone.

Ornstein is usually reliable

Can only think we are relying on him next season in the championship so don’t want to sell for that reason.
it’s an astonishing call not to take £8m (although as pointed out above it won’t help psr this season as sale would be 1 July)

however we could do with £8m of pure profit on our books next season with reduced allowable losses

Why would we not want to lose him? He’s bloody awful

We will be crying out for him next season when we are under a transfer ban in the championship.

I genuinely don't understand what we're doing anymore.

We sell KDH in the summer for £30m for supposedly PRS reasons, but then spend £80m.

We recall Cannon and flog him £10m, even though his competition is Daka (not good enough) and Edouard (absolutely not good enough). Not saying Cannon is the answer, but any worse than those two?

Then we get offered a similar deal for a player who isn't going to be a top level player, barely gets minutes and when does, offers very little?

I'm sure thre can be arguments made to keep him, but we literally have no strategy anymore. It's just 'fly by the seat of our pants' and hope it all turns out well. Which it wont

I'm sorry but Kasey is a passenger in this squad and has 0% influence on us staying up. Rudkin is mental.

and will also have 0% influence for us in the Championship next season..... no brainer

Will they get promoted though? That’s a mighty big gamble is the deal is naff other than that.

Do we gamble failing a future psr on their success? Burnley just got Edwards on a similar deal it’s not like sunderland are clearly going to achieve promotion

I don’t know what planet we are on. This, the Thomas and the Iversen bids rejected in recent years are a total mystery and a proof we don’t understand PSR.

These are the sort of deals Villa et al have been cracking out to make their spending work

If it’s 8+2 then there’s no gamble. We get 8 even if they dont go up

Feels like the initial story of the bid suggests a more generous offer than was actually made. A loan where they may not have to buy in the summer doesn't make sense for us. If they come back in with an offer to buy then yes we should be listening.

It's bizarre. We don't have a replacement lined up it seems, hence the reluctance to sell.

It's amateurish, lack of scenario planning.

He's not good enough for the Championship, we saw that last year, get rid!

If we take each bid with a pinch of salt, we'd be hitting £10m for Thomas and Kasey, and an extra £5m from Iversen. All 3 hitting £15m straight of profit.

Ridiculous that we haven't been accepting them.

It’s incredible to think that the scenario that we haven’t planned for is “needing a winger”!!!!
