skinnydipper Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 With this level of decision making the KP will be a Morrisons within 5 years
Nolucklcfc Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 Why would we not want to lose him? He’s bloody awful 4

Whilst it might leave us short, everyone keeps talking about the long term future of this club as a reason for them not spending this month. Get him gone. Ornstein is usually reliable Can only think we are relying on him next season in the championship so don’t want to sell for that reason. it’s an astonishing call not to take £8m (although as pointed out above it won’t help psr this season as sale would be 1 July) however we could do with £8m of pure profit on our books next season with reduced allowable losses

apollo4joe Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 I genuinely don't understand what we're doing anymore. We sell KDH in the summer for £30m for supposedly PRS reasons, but then spend £80m. We recall Cannon and flog him £10m, even though his competition is Daka (not good enough) and Edouard (absolutely not good enough). Not saying Cannon is the answer, but any worse than those two? Then we get offered a similar deal for a player who isn't going to be a top level player, barely gets minutes and when does, offers very little? I'm sure thre can be arguments made to keep him, but we literally have no strategy anymore. It's just 'fly by the seat of our pants' and hope it all turns out well. Which it wont 1
Staff Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 Pure profit for a limited player. Will end up leaving for free like 95% of the shit at this club 1

UniFox21 Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 Were these lads all coming through when Rudkin was still in the academy set up?
Lambert09 Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 Will they get promoted though? That’s a mighty big gamble is the deal is naff other than that. Do we gamble failing a future psr on their success? Burnley just got Edwards on a similar deal it’s not like sunderland are clearly going to achieve promotion 1

CosbehFox Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 I don’t know what planet we are on. This, the Thomas and the Iversen bids rejected in recent years are a total mystery and a proof we don’t understand PSR. These are the sort of deals Villa et al have been cracking out to make their spending work 1
FrankieADZ Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 send Kasey to WBA on loan and us get Tom Fellows, get it done before everton get Fellows

We get 8 even if they dont go up
Number 6 Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 Feels like the initial story of the bid suggests a more generous offer than was actually made. A loan where they may not have to buy in the summer doesn't make sense for us. If they come back in with an offer to buy then yes we should be listening. 2

Dan Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 We're just beyond analysis at this point. Are they genuinely sabotaging us?

We don't have a replacement lined up it seems, hence the reluctance to sell. It's amateurish, lack of scenario planning.
Chelmofox Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 'Looking for replacement'. I mean, i'll sit on the bench for the rest of the season. 1

All 3 hitting £15m straight of profit. Ridiculous that we haven't been accepting them. 1 1
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 February 2025 Posted 3 February 2025 (edited) £10 million of pure profit turned down in this window alone for players that don't feature for us. What can you even say at this point. Edited 3 February 2025 by Sol thewall Bamba 2
