Have we?  who?

Off the top of my head Hermansen, Ricardo, Faes, Justin, Coady, Nelson, VK, Ndidi, Bilal, Mavididi and Soumare have had either stories about them being open to new clubs or rumours about other clubs being interested.

Fair shout, I make it 4.

Wilf, Soumare, Faes and Coady. The latter 2 have said it directly. The former two have been largely driven by agents/entourage.

I did think Vesty was in that group but he actually came out saying he doesn't want to leave, which I think is wise as he won't make better money elsewhere lol

I said it before but I can see a scenario where the Sheffield Wednesday game doesn’t go ahead. I can’t see how they can start the season honestly.

Well that would be a forfeit then surly?

That's not the same as being quoted to say 'I want a new challenge', mate

its crazy the situation they are in, i don't think i have ever heard of a team playing no pre-season games.

The have a massive task of fitting a full stands worth of fans into the rest of the ground as well now.

It is so sad for a team to be ran into the ground like this and shame on the FA for just standing by and watching it happen!

Ah yes because that always happens

Point is IF they did publicly say 'I want a new challenge' the power shifts massively to the player to force a move.

I've not seen anywhere, where this has been quoted from anyone of those players.

Yeah, I could see that too.

I think it would depend what happens. Hasn’t there been cases (maybe Bury) where a team has dropped out the league mid campaign and results against them are null and void as opposed to everyone getting a forfeit type result?

In some cases, maybe another team is entered into the league in place of the team dropping out although you’d imagine that would have to happen much earlier than now due to the knock on effect of the league pyramid.

So who knows but yes a forfeit would be the best outcome for us in the event they can’t honour the fixture. I’d imagine that is more for odd games whereas there’s a real damage Wednesday can’t manage the season.

Yes on the basis of them dropping out the league it would be void, but surly that’s won’t happen? You know more then me about the situation but I was thinking at worse they would miss a couple of games

All the more reason to pile on Wednesday beating us - if the game is called off you get your money back, if the game goes ahead you'll win a proper chunk. Win-win.

Will be even more frustrating when the win 1-0 then and have no fans to celebrate!

lol

I really don't want to play them first.

Remember when we were Champions of England, playing a Hull side with like 2 professional players on their books, in major crisis, had to cobble a team together from blokes they found loitering outside the ground an hour before kick off?

Yeah that went well.

Just can't see Wrexham getting away from relegation.

Think the reality will hit them.

Weren't you one of the 'wheels come off brigade' from last season?...then they won promotion.

Dont worry - they will only play Ward one game and quickly realise what they have done. He will be 3rd choice + tea boy again pretty sharpish.

Haha didn't people say this when they got promoted to League 2?

Given Sheff Weds situation there's basically only 2 relegation spots up for grabs. So Wrexham just need to be better than the club that won the league 1 play offs again and 1 other. They'll be lower mid table imo.

Last season if 10th had been given 6 more points then they'd have finished 8th.

It's probably the massive lack of urgency from the senior management at the club. We've got about 6 players who stated they wanted a new challenge in the summer. Absolutely no new signings.

Can't imagine the effort is going to be there from the team this season, especially if things aren't going well, unless we inject some new blood and energy. The kids coming in are great, but unless we have a Gerrard type in there, none of them are going to speak up against a senior pro that's half-arsing it.

Marti might get a tune early doors, although the Koln friendly didn't really suggest so much.

If we do fail to make squad changes this summer, I expect it'll be an incredibly flat season.

Pretty much where I am. Underachievement is all Aiyawatt knows. Generally you can calculate the level of ability in our squad and then knock about 10 points off it.

Cifuentes will start well then get fed up. Pretty certain of that.

I don’t know anything specific, just speculating. All there staff (apart from the assistant who renewed his contact) have walked out today. They’ve lost a lot of players and can’t bring anyone in.
