Is Fatawu good enough for the PL? Not seen him play much so I wouldn't know really.

No.

Tricky one to answer here!! Probably not as a starter right now but he'd be an excellent squad player with room to grow, he's only just turned 22 and our predicament means he'd be well worth a gamble price wise,. He's having a weird season in that he's been appalling in a lot of games but still has 9 league goals and 7 assists.. He really hasn't been helped by his counterpart on the other side in Mavididi completely forgetting how to play football and it's notable how much less space he seems to get on his side because sides know what a threat he can be..

I do think he's suffered from trying to tackle too much on his own this season.. He hasn't had the imperious campaign I'd expected he have but we'd be even more ****ed without him. It also goes without saying that he's more of a chance of making it in any remotely competent set up!!!

2 teams who came down with us have a strong shout to go up. Meanwhile we promote the bloke who has seen us hot the bottom 3

Yes, that’s true, but they were in a far better place to mount a promotion push than us. We lost our best players and didn’t replace them, and they strengthen their squads!

I’d have him at Newcastle as I think he fits exactly what we need…

Young, ability to grow/improve, can create a goal out of nothing (something we severely lack), wouldn’t demand huge wages, also likely to be very cheap in comparison to his value if you go down.

A bit of an opportunist buy, like Barnes was.

Barnes was a great signing. Had we stayed up, he wouldn’t have left. Fatawu certainly has a higher ceiling than Barnes.

Different types of player. Fatawu is obviously more flashy on the eyes but Barnes was damn effective. The numbers he put up were very impressive. It will be interesting to see what happens with Fatawu as he obviously missed most of our dismal PL campaign. I wonder if he has the mentality to succeed to the level where he’d exceed Barnes.

Fatawu in a stable side, more positive environment and stronger manager will be absolutely fine in the Prem I’d imagine.

Not talking 15 goals 15 assists level but he’d definitely hold his own. He’s still young.

Imagine if he had a RB to support him and an actual striker!

Southampton look great now, like a new team compared to the start of the season. I thought they'd be that team that ends up with 6th place but they could end up higher.

Last season Leicester could point to Southampton and Ipswich being no better as recently promoted sides. The gap now is there for all to see. This seasons fire sale and failure to recruit any proven striker or full back been when you would have thought they would be top of the list is incredible. On top of this has been a failure to invest in any sort of manager that can’t be recruited without paying compensation as we did the year before. Expect a similar amount of upheaval at the start of next season with even lower targets

Against a Sheffield Wednesday team who have only won 1 game all season and are being relegated as the team with the lowest ever championship points total - our performance was abysmal. Having won only 2 games in 2026 we probably need to win at least 3 out of our last 5. Unless we get 12 points from the last 5 games this team will go down as the worst ever performing Leicester team - the team that got relegated in 2008 got 52 points.
The worst bunch of players I have witnessed in my 57years of supporting LCFC. 😩

Does it even count as a points total if it’s below 0

The player of the season nominees really highlight what a weak season it’s been.

Hackney

Rushworth

Azeez

Vipotnik

Hackney will probably win that one .

Lampard for Manager of the season .

Ipswich bought a team to go back up. I think they prepared for themselves for a tough PL season and potentially relegation, to have a team ready to go back up again.

We wasted money on rubbish. Signing Skipp and Ayew was a joke, especially for their individual fees. Another poor signing in Okoli too, one of the worse centre halves I've seen.

He’s also desperate for a good manager.  He has all the tools to be a top top player. But he seems to just be skipping the basics this year.  Very much in the ‘best player zone’ so just seems to hit absolutely everything. Which is understandable given how bad the people he has to pass to are. But still frustrating to watch non the less.

you can imagine how effective he could be if he was being coached to make the pass at the right time because he gets himself in great positions. In a well managed side with support around him you’d imagine he would be incredible. But for us he mostly has to pick up the ball and run the length of the pitch.

If I was a winger I’d spend my life watching video of mahrez because I don’t think we’ve ever had; or will have again a player that consistently would just make the right decisions when they got the ball. A great example to players of just because you can shoot, doesn’t mean you should.

Fatawu will end up with some low PL team, definitely not scoring goals against Barcelona

Last few weeks of the "championship" thread, enjoy it while is lasts.

Next one will be "bankruptcy- from greatest achievement to greatest failure, the curious case of LCFC"

Alex Neil should get manager of the season.
But fat Frank will get it and the Cov love in will continue well into next season.

Lampard done a terrific job, nobody expected Cov to win the league.

hard to say. With a competent coach he was far too good for the championship at 19, but then barely played under Cooper in the PL, and has been underwhelming this season

Not saying he hasn’t but for where Millwall are imo Neil has done a better job.

He probably has tbf with the initial predictions I don't think anyone had Millwall top 6, let alone top 2. I think Lampard has done well but Cov too (to win any league is a good job) but they were predicted to be around top 6.

Personally for me I think it should be Jakirovic at Hull as he was appointed in the summer, had a transfer embargo and Hull were nearly relegated last season. Top 6 for them would be a good season.

Eustace at Derby done a good job again too.
