Coventry probably score so many goals because their defenders dont spend 75% of the game passing between themselves…

They actually have decent strikers (for this level) as well

We would probably be top if we had Haji Wright or even Ellis Simms

Haji Wright has 8 goals this season EIGHT. We have scored one goal between three Strikers.

how have we sunk to these depths, Cov will go up this season there is no doubt.

Coventry are going to storm this league this season. 😳  Lets hope Forest get wrapped up in a dogfight at the bottom and come down.  Couldn't bear to see both those in Prem whilst we are Championship mediocrity!

be right tho, Coventry and most of their squad/Lampard have been together for coming upto a year, so you'd certainly expect them to be a well oiled machine by now

dont get me wrong they are doing well but look at the whole context compared to say us with mc whos only been in what? 79 days; the complete mess we are trying to fix behind the scenes too

This league is all over the shop right now. There's probably 5 teams of the top 10 that won't be in it by Christmas let alone the end of the season. Let's see where the league is in another 10 games and the 2 game weeks start rolling in. A fair few teams haven't properly got going yet and that will change. I'm pretty sure we'll be one of them, but that's the glass half full in me.

Using that database it also proves the standard of the league currently. We are all disappointed and a lot think we are miles off at least 10 teams in the division but the reality is in the past 6 games the actual form table has us 3rd behind only Cov and Boro & that’s only them just having a single win more than us.

I don’t think we need to kick off just yet, we do really need to start scoring granted and I hope after Tuesdays game Marti understands who needs to play and who needs to cut the oranges.

We are top 6 still - quite a few on here had us down for back to back relegation, so I think we are actually overachieving despite how frustrating the performances are.

Can't believe I was having people argue with me about this the other day.

6th in the league and very fortuitously so. We've got to substantially improve to go up this season.

We have not been fortunate at all.  We have dropped points due to individual errors.  We should be higher and we will improve.

Take this down immediately, Opta currently predicting we'll finish 3rd?

More like 23rd amirite lads!

We're predicted 3rd but based on our performance so far they put us 20th in the league. So this supports the relegation narrative more than anything.

We absolutely should not be higher on the performances served up so far. People often ridicule these sorts of performance tables and I guess it's only been 8 games which is a pretty small sample of games, but I heard similar sorts of comments about it in 2022 which as much as predicted we were a relegation level side running hot. Sure enough the following season we went down.

On our current trajectory we will drop down the table. The performances simply have to improve. We're not succeeding at either creating chances, or stopping the opposition create chances.

Would likely have beaten Oxford were it not for a red card, should have beaten Wrexham, should have beaten Cov were it not for poor finishing.

I think we are still a work on progress with one of the best squads in the league and I expect it will come together and silly errors will be ironed out

We'll see

Oxford was a strange game as we were second best at 11 v 11, rank second best for 20 mins at 11 v 10 but actually wrestled back and probably just about deserved a draw from the second half. Actually think on the balance of chances Wrexham was a strange one, we should've won but we totally screwed ourselves. We didn't actually create that many great chances for all the play was probably a bit better. Coventry I agree we should've won and were the better side.

Then on the flip side, lucky to draw at WBA, very lucky to win at Charlton.

The table is very tight where each point makes a substantial difference to position currently but I definitely don't think on the performances so far that we're looking at what could've been. Other way round if anything.

I think "should have" is the key here, yes we should have beat Coventry but poor finishing is another issue for us which will hinder our season (and lack of creativity). I still think we have one of the best squads in the league and we should be in a better position than we are.

Although I will also argue that we have been lucky in games, for example Wrexham should have scored more than 1 too. It's not always a case of we should have and they shouldn't.

All round not good enough.

No I don't feel we will but do think it's possible. 80% of this squad showed no fight or balls to stay up last season knowing a big wage reduction would happen. Some of the worst performers still being here.

So a 10/12pts deduction now puts us in the bottom three. Do you really think they have the fight in them.

I personally don't as they can't show it now before the deduction.

I also doubt you would find a pair of bollox in the whole squad.

Stolarczyk yes

Ricky P yes when fit

Rest of the defence not really

Midfield Winks if he wants it. The rest no

Forwards Fatawu yes Mav if he wants to.

From last seasons squad two players up for it. A third one when fit and two more if they want it. I'm not adding the loan players yet as I don't think we've seen enough of the to judge properly.

Do you honestly think that's enough to get us out of the relegation zone if the pts deduction puts us in it?

I personally don't

You're pulling those points deductions firmly out of your arse. There's no basis for them, no precedent at all. The article that came out today doesn't even reference if it'll be applied this season even if we do get one. You get 9 for going into admin, where have you got 12 from ffs. Reading too much slop on Facebook.

And as for your appraisal of the squad, again you're just equating ability with running around a bit.

If you're that convinced we'll get relegated, stick £100 on it (you can get 12 to 1 at the moment) and give your winnings to LOROS.

Pulling it out my arse Facebook slop and no prescedent set.

Hmm let's get abusive because you don't agree with someone.

No I'm not on Facebook.

No precedent set except Everton's 10pts reduced for cooperation and an appeal.

We've not cooperated and made the prem anD EFL look silly. People within the game have stated we could get hit very hard with a minor reduction on appeal.

If we are not charged this season it's a bigger joke than the Everton fiasco that we all bitched about and would have kept us up.

So while your talking about Arses try shoving your opinion up your own arse.
