Cov are looking odds on to go up.

I thought form the off they'd go up. But it's a long way for a desperate fan base to hold their nerve and transmit those nerves to the players.

Don't rule out panic setting in late Jan/Feb

Watching Sheffield United is a worrying glimpse of our future if we don't get promoted. It's scary how far they have fallen from their standards last season. The match is dreadful.

I know Leeds had a great second season in the Championship but I feel we desperately need promotion even if we do come straight back down again. Especially, if a couple of the more established prem teams are relegated due to Sunderland and Leeds surviving.

Great to see our good friends and neighbours the mighty Coventry doing so well. At least you lads in and around Leicester will be able to see some local PL action next season.

First time I've heard Marti post match and his words don't back up his actions in that second half.  Sounded like Brendan, full of nonsense, he must've been at a different game second half to the one I was watching.

Embarrassing from all involved.

Just remember that everyone turned their nose up at Frank Lampard and said he wouldn’t be good enough for us.

Frank Lampard would have struggled with our squad. Coventry have a settle team and he’s had 12 months  with this team, including a whole preseason

lol Yeah...can't really argue with that...I know what I meant!

I don't think that as a team, they are overall better than us. If we had just one striker who could finish, we would probably be sat where they are.

If that makes slightly more sense...:dunno: ..im giving myself a headache now.

Coventry have been building a settled side for years now looks like they’ll run away with it. We're in a rebuilding stage. You look at our squad and it really is a strange mix of players all thrown together

We hammered this Coventry side and couldn’t score. But we kept them out comfortably. Yet they’re hammering everyone. What does that tell you?! we’re clearly a better all round side. We just can’t break teams down who sit team and defend for 90 minutes which is 95% of the league.

I wasn’t impressed with Cov in all honesty. If we could actually score goals we would be probably above them.

Quite a big part of football thought isn’t it? 😂 scoring goals.

If every club could score more goals they’d be higher in the league

About time.

Didn't think much to them at our place though. Nothing stand out. Steady play off team and being where they should be.

So if we had different players we'd be better than them?

Just need to be professional and work out how to score goals convincingly

And yes we could quite easily walk this league if we can play a way to be more pressing and make chances

We aren’t too far off, at least we aren’t getting beat every game…

Don't think Coventry are any better than us overall in what is a shockingly low standard league.

The difference is they have players who can put the ball in the net.

Wright (7), Torp (5) and Thomas-Asente (4).

All we can offer is Fatawu with 2 goals.

Its shocking really and unless anything changes, theres not a hope in hell of getting out of this league.

And to think we had the usual bunch of brain dead giving it the "mind the gap" nonsense to Coventry only a matter of days ago.

I mean that's fairly important.

Fair play to Coventry they are shitting goals.

With the players we have we are not going to score many, regardless of who the manager is. We don’t have much creativity and our strikers don’t score. Our best chance of success is to be a solid side that dominates possession, which I think is what Marti is working towards. We completely stifled this Coventry side, we just need add more going forward. Hopefully Ramsey can go into a midfield three with James and Winks and be the creative spark.

You can't judge 1 game in isolation against Coventry where we were slightly the better side and use that as a barometer for the strength of the 2 teams generally. A season is over 46 games with constant ebbs and flows.

Clearly Coventry have got a good, settled side with goals in them.  Their challenge will be if they start getting a few injuries, their squad isn't particularly deep.

Every team manager we have played this season have all mentioned Leicester being in the premier league last season and winning it in their pre/post match comments, every team see us as their cup final and therefore change their tactics to a more defensive set up.

Currently most teams in the league see Coventry as their equal & go out to attack & in doing so leave themselves open and Coventry are taking those chances.

This will change soon as teams show a little more respect to them, then Coventry might find it hard to score 5 goals a game.
