doubt the EFL will have the balls to do it; just feels so wrong that on so many levels that Southampton have gone thru after spying not just on boro for these games but thru theyve been doing it numerous times throughout the season too(reports have said)

so it isnt just a one time thing

a game of that size they should get more than a fine, and pretty sure some reports say theyve been doing it throughout the season too

I don’t understand giving a points deduction unless you’re awarding the points to other teams. Either they gained or an advantage in the actual matches or they didn’t. That’s the reason to take points off, so by the same logic they disadvantaged the teams they played. Giving them a points deduction next season suits no one.
 

As it happens I see it as a very minor, if pathetic, infringement. The game is played on the pitch, if someone knowing your tactics is enough to cost you the game, they aren’t very good tactics. A decent manager wouldn’t even care.

Points deduction will not harm them in anyway because they will come straight back down anyway

Is it me or does that Southampton manager give me the creeps? There's something off about him. It wouldn't surprise me if there's something about the 'Spy Gate' situation. I don't trust him in the slightest....

true, personally think they should award the first leg 3-0 to boro but i highly doubt the EFL would have the balls to do it, butif Saints have been doing it more than once this season(which reports seem to suggest they might well have) then its frankly wrong on so many levels and it deserves a sporting sanction and a harsh one too.

he defo knew about it as some are saying the person who was caught has been seen on the saints bench at times this season

Hmmm, well if that's the case, they should be kicked out the play offs. Makes me laugh watching their post match celebrations. Southampton might not being going to Wembley if they're severely punished 🤣🤣🤣

thats true, i think most would agree in regards the games that Southampton were probably just worthy of going through after the 2 games

but its the whole spygate stuff that has totally took away any sort of respect for southampton etc in that way, and the fact they have more than likely done it on more than 1 occasion this season
