The bit where Vestergaard drills a pass to Mavididi to get us 20 yards further up the pitch and Mav scampers back into his own half with it leaving it at Vestys feet like a dog returning a stick :frusty:. Other than Bilal and Benouanotte we’d reached hot potato time where no-one had the guts to want to be on the ball. Ayew surprised at his subbing and reaction? I recorded it, come round and watch it mate then tell us you put in a fine or even adequate performance.

I wonder if players are over coached, or playing in fear and within themselves, desperate not to make a mistake. Your example of Vesty is spot on- at least Mav could try to run at their defence , just mix it up a bit , keeping the defender guessing. At times Mav shows  he had the pace .
That dribble from FB 2nd half was exciting and about the only moment to get the crowd going.

So many things wrong...
... we look unfit...why?
... no one challenges for a ball
...in the box no-one attacks the ball they just watch it bounce about
...no out ball beyond the wingers... they always play to feet.
... too many players who can't start for palace, fulham, spurs even wolves (why buy dross?)
...Goalie poor.
... it's over for vardy

they all need sacking so we start again

Poor coaching and poor preparation. Coaching sessions must be awful. Or looks to me no one has a clue. Or too many ideas and not all are pulling in the same direction

Back to the Seagrave donkey sanctuary to discuss how NOT BOTHERED anyone within the club is about the state of the club  and see which opposition could possibly score an own goal to help us out .... sadly run out of time to do any training or tactics.... see you all tomorrow to talk about which clubs we will be playing for next season

The one thing i’ve noticed is that bar Maresca the players have looked unfit under ever manager we’ve had since Ranieri.

It feels like it doesn’t it.  In those Seagrave clips we mostly see the quick passing drills on a mini pitch with normal sized goals. From last night we need back to basic how to legally fight and win 2nd ball battles and be stronger when defending

Every team that cones to the KP looks high energy.  I can accept that some payers lack talent but I can't accept them not being fit

Even had people shouting "but we were in league 1" tonight. That really pisses me off. Yeah, we shouldn't have been there either. Don't act like league one is like our natural habitat. We've spent one season at that level in our entire 140 year+ history. It shouldn't be used as a comparison. It was also used partly a dig at people around me who were probably too young to have gone at that time. Those people can't help that they were born when they were born. Your opinion carries no more weight because you were born several years earlier. For the record, I was 14 when we were in league one and I was there.

Well said. I started going right after Peter Taylor, the promotion season under Adams. A relegation then 10 years or so out the top flight including the League 1 season and enjoyed it all. League 1 is still actually my favourite season to date.

By the time we won the PL, I was into my 20’s, actually had just bought my house that Spring.

So this implication that to be unhappy now means you are a spoiled child essentially, who had only known the good times. No no no. My childhood and teen years were firmly spent in the wilderness. I actually feel well qualified to have an opinion having ‘come through’ if you like when I did.

I’ve thought that too.
There was a home game this season , can’t  remember the team, where they came out early and did little mini passing drills. Makes sense to me  to get the players right on it from kick off

I think it's about time people associated with this started having to fear in their daily lives. It's too important to too many people to be treated like this.

I’m as annoyed as the next guy, but this is a very dangerous idea to be exploring

Hearing Ruud’s analysis that Brentford were just several levels above us it seems like the second half was just about containment, keeeping the score down. At that point, issue a 50% refund and a free hot drink on the way out, if you’re not going to bother then why should we, as a club you are professionally under prepared for the task and have mis-sold tickets on the pretence that you are prepared. “No one available within our budget who would have improved the side”? That budget must have been tuppence ha’penny and a toffee wrapper. £70 to watch training drills with no desire to change, no 2 up top even at 0-3, just given up hope.Do not send any more happy clappy emails about maximum effort, all talk no action.

Alan smith was saying he couldn't believe what he was seeing, how easy it was for brentford, compared to a training session for them.

Our players are either THAT bad or they don't care, maybe both.

The championship is awful, our team are awful, we belong there, and I can't see this squad doing anything in that league either.

I swear some of our supporters would come home to find their wife bonking another bloke and clap him out of the door.

Im sure there would be some kind of clap involved!

Honestly if the starting line up has Ayew and BDR again I'll be tempted to just walk out of the stadium before kick off. How they consistently start is beyond me. I mean they wouldn't even be my first choice as impact subs never mind starting. Soumaré is back to his usual lazy brain dead self. Honestly at this point just being on the youth. Give Monga, Evans and Braybrooke a chance, recall Alves. Get them all on. Oh how we miss Fatawu.

I'd start by playing Thomas for the woeful Kristensen and Mcateer for Ayew, even those two changes would turn us in to a better team.

I'm not convinced Thomas would add any more value than VK. Both terrible defenders and offer very little going forward but at least VK has a bit of an engine. Like choosing between eating a gone off celary stick and a mouldy mushy banana.

It’s the fact only vardy went and clapped the fans. I can’t believe after a performance like that from ndidi, Soumare, okoli and faes they have gone straight in the changing rooms.unbelievable.

First 10 minutes were actually quite OK. Brentford defence, while not as sh*t as ours, was quite easy to beat.

We played some lovely football for that ten minutes - I was beginning to feel a strange mix of emotions, something involving excitement and hope! Quickly gone obviously!

Been watching since ‘87.  Not one of the scumbags are fit to lace the boots of players from Gary Ford, to Gary Coatsworth, to Paul Fitzpatrick and David Lowe and onwards 😡🦊

Harsh to mention Lowe in the same sentence as the other 3. I thought Lowe was fantastic and very underrated.
