Identified , unless we pay the release Clause, this is a non starter and I doubt we will. He’s Southampton bound.

I have no idea whether we're likely to get Rohl or not, but I think this assumption that we won't pay any release clause is flawed. There's a good chance that our preferred targets will be in a job, so the chances are we will have to pay compensation for somebody.

We didn’t that last summer when we had the chance to appoint Carlos Corberan we would much rather throw money at shite like Ayew, BDCR, Skipp and Eduoard than play a release fee for a decent manager.

I know we didn't - and look how that turned out. I know we're all down on the owners and everything, but given the utter shit show of this season, I'm just not convinced they'll adopt exactly the same policy of targeting a sub-standard manager on the basis that they're out of contract and therefore free.

I can’t help thinking that the embarrassment of another potential sacking within such a short period is allowing Ruud more time.If Ipswich and Southampton pick up a few points and Leicester’s run continues it might be sooner. No replacement is going to want to start by adding relegation to their CV.

Sheffield Wednesday's players are still yet to receive their salaries from last month due to a "temporary issue" with the club's immediate cashflow, according to the club.

The delay in payment adds to the list of financial challenges that Wednesday have had to navigate under current owner Dejphon Chansiri this season after the Owls were placed on a temporary registration embargo in October due to amounts owed to HMRC.

Rohl was questioned heavily about his knowledge of whether his players had been paid yet, whether he had been paid yet and his current relationship with Mr Chansiri, but the German manager was quick to put the focus on this weekend's battle with Hull City.

Identifying and actually getting him are two very different things. When they turn down our approach we’ll be fvcked as we won’t have other options we’ve thought of.
It’ll be someone who’s not in a job.

Would be interesting to see what style Rohl would bring if he was appointed, Sheffield Wednesday have been one of the more direct teams in the league under him.

He is also extremely tactically flexible, he changes formation frequently.

Only concern I’d have is his history with youth. Sheffield Wednesday have one of the oldest teams in the division, while he’s fielded some of the oldest starting 11’s in the Championship this season.

I've been told time and time again "why would rohl want to join this"
People really need to spend a few hours and properly research the situation at Wednesday, it makes Top look like childs play.

Rohl will 100% come here. GET. ON. THE. PHONE. TOP.

My guess soon we will see another interim until the summer, at some stage they'll will be what they call a 'mutual termination' they will probably bring in some sort of unknown coach to hold the fort. Some one like an Adam Barrdell... never heard of him? neither did I till I googled one of youth coaching staff. He currently manages the under 18's so he might get the gig for the remaining games.

As nice as Rohl would be unless him and/or his agent are contacting our clubs representatives then Rudkin, Whelan and Top won’t have a clue who he is and the context of his achievements.

Would cost a lot in compensation apparently. Still feels he’ll end up at saints. Them and us will be in the same boat for

managers.

Danny was Ralph Hassenhuttls assistant 2018/19 season, if it comes to a straight choice between us and Southampton he 100% goes with Southampton, they are on a much better footing than we are and imo the favourites next season.
The rumours are though that Southampton are also interested in Liam Rosenior, so our best bet if we were in contact with DR is Southampton stalling to make a decision.

Timing now to get Rohl would be now seeing as there is unrest at Sheffield Wednesday, wait till the summer we end up battling with Southampton. Get him now, not saying he will keep us up but we may start to make a real fight for it in the last eight games and maybe win a couple.

Wednesday probably won't finish in the play offs but they're only 5 points. No way he walks away now. Also there has been unrest at Wednesday for the past 5 or 6 seasons, it's not something new.
