He came back as coach in Feb.

There were still quite a few games left in the season. It’s not like he came back with 2 or 3 games left in the season.
Unpopular opinion but if he wasn’t an ex player you’d be calling for him to go as well.

Probably about 70% right, but if you come in in that role with a few months of the season left having clearly not been the managers choice then you deserve more time IMO.

He owns a villa out here.

Dyche is quite the dude. Whether one likes his approach to football or not, I'm not buying the gruff, northern philistine stereotype. I saw him at a v. swank London French restaurant last year - and he also had a winnebago next to a mate of mine at Glastonbury. Big Sam he is not.

Paolo Vanoli.
Just been sacked by Torino.
Finished 11th in Serie A.

Has worked with the Italian youth teams from U16s thru to U19s.

I'm sure our hierarchy truly believe Vanoli is a brand of ice cream, or a fancy liqueur.

It could be Sid who runs the under 10’s locally or Pep

It won’t make a scrap of difference as long as Khun Top remains here and if you really think that it’s going to get any better then you’re completely delusional !
How many more years of this do you want to see ?

I think we’ve seen enough

Top, Please sell up & go !!!!

I agree, which is why I wouldn't be calling for the head of Brian Barry-Murphy either.

He’s been here for much longer than Kingy and is in a more senior position.

For what it’s worth, I’m not calling for his head- I’m calling for him not to be promoted.

No there isn't.  It does matter if we sack him today, agree to sack him but make the payment on the 1st of July, put him on gardening leave, appoint someone else and then let him go after July, or pay him his usual salary monthly until the end of his contract.  All of these result in an immediate provision for the full cost of his contract in the current financial year.  All the clever ways have been tried before and the accounting rules are specifically designed to overcome them.  ANY action which results in him leaving - even if only obvious after the fact, would result in the cost being in this year's books.

Someone pin this so we don't have to go round and round in circles explaining to people.

Got some decent form haven’t you wyms- let’s all hope your right and we have done movement- don’t suppose you fancy laying even the slightest crumbs? 😂😂

Dyche and someone internal; but, as widely-speculated, the club are in a tricky situation - as paying off Ruud may have financial consequences, when the club is already struggling on that front as it is.

There appears to be no certainty by the higher-ups as to who's the best option.

Perhaps if they cant pay off RVN without consequences just change his role and have him around but not managing?

Yep. The longer this drags on, it looks increasingly like it will be him (and it does sound like it will be 1 July before we can do anything), as the external candidates get fed up waiting, or get snapped up by someone else (eg Rohl to the Bundesliga). Barry-Murphy is there, under contract and a 'ready meal' - with all the connotations of a ready meal (quick to do, moderately tasty, not the healthiest meal, but OK and fills a hole!). He'd be here until we get hold of a better recipe to cook ourselves (mid way through next season?), but it could be a long time before we eat a Michelin Star Chef's meal again ...... ? years !

TLDR

He's good mates with Russell Martin and they share the same ethos.

I wonder if he is going to be the new manager, we are having planning meetings with him which can all be kept hush hush and then we announce ruud is gone on first July and we’ve already been planning and as such announce signings on July 1st? Or is that wishful thinking for us being actually organised?

Nice one - appreciate that - can’t believe there is no money to just get dyche done - he is the exact right person at the right time for this basket case club - would reset the standards and culture and probably unpopular but I don’t mind watching his teams at all

Your not on your own - imagine even keeping anyone on the current coaching staff though - laughable
