The only thing I would say, both Smith and Cooper were desperate appointments. On both occasions, we were reportedly turned down by others before.

Cooper left quite quickly for KP standards.

Enzo was more the long term appointment. Which was very much in line with the philosophy.

I don’t know where RVN ranks because I’m still trying to work out if he has a philosophy!

It’s been briefed to the press numerous times the style the owner wants us to play, a style we can’t afford to employ any higher than the championship. Do we honestly expect that the DOF is capable to build a structure to obtain the support staff, managers and players required to see on the pitch the owner has in his own head.

Yes you do end up with the likes of Cooper and smith as we neither consistent or forward thinking.  We went from a style that was pragmatic and won us the league and to a style / mess that makes no sense and half the squad aren’t suited to play.

Enzo won us the league with good players but there was never anyway he’d of been doing anything other than keeping us up the following year and failing.

I expect nothing less from this club at present a total lottery as to who the manager is, the style and squad makeup come the start of the season.

if Top genuinely wants to continue playing in a progressive style and favours young upcoming coaches then why is his DoF putting forward/recommending managers like Cooper and Dyche who are both polar opposites to what the owner is looking for.

And signing players like Ayew, Bobby and Edouard.

Baffles me that a mid table side like QPR can get someone like Stephan and we don’t even look abroad.

There's always going to be a London factor even at Champ level. He could even commute if he really wanted to lol

That's not me saying we do look and get rejected, but I'm not massively surprised he's gone there.

Under KP, have we ever looked abroad?

All of their managerial appointments have had experience of managing in England.

One of my biggest annoyances with our ownership, which is saying a lot as so much to dislike about them.

So i've been in New York for a bit and out of the loop. Are we actually getting Dych or are we all just freaking out.

Absolutely no credible news so

I’ve given up on this idea of anything happening with old management or new and concentrating on the impending nuclear ☢️ apocalypse as that seems more fun.

We’ve missed out on so many because of this. Slot and Glasner spring to mind when Rodgers was fvcking everything up.

but I think nothing can be done till the 1st of July in terms of sacking RVN, and I think the lack of any comments from him suggests that'll be the case.

All we can hope for is that they are using this month to get a solid appointment in place for as soon as that day comes.

Tanner on The Final Whistle saying his sources suggest we’ll go for a young, progressive manager with a playing style similar to Enzo as that’s what Top prefers. He thinks Dyche is unlikely on that basis.

He says Rohl fits that style but the club currently believe he’s too expensive to buy out of his contract.

Then they will make the same mistake as last season by not paying the money for the main man and then spending 10m on one player.

If they want to continue a style similar to Enzo the only two managers I can think of that would improve us are Rohl and Southgate I don’t think they will look abroad so that signals out most candidates.

Carrick would be a disaster

Yeah, surely Corberan's performance would make them think differently, especially when the club relies so much on the manager rather than spreading responsibility with the sporting director. It's why Enzo leaving hurt us even more.

If we want a young progressive manager then go get Rafaele Palladino.
Got Fiorentino to 6th in serie a last season.
He’s readily available and Italian.
Which given our history with Italian managers he should be considered just for that.

I think we need a manager that can develop a team with mid level players.  A manager that can build a team.  My favorite manager in that regard, that we might have a chance to get is Fabio Pecchia or someone like Alberto Gilardino.  This should be a rebuilding year.

If it's Wilder it would just sum us up - at least with Maresca there was a buzz, a bit of unknown and he had a nice jacket.

Nothing to like about Wilder, and the ambition to appoint someone like that would show that we are way underwater compared to other progressive clubs.

Because Cooperman wanted Premier experience we have Managers at LCFC not Team Coaches so like the past the club tend to support managers with their choices and it’s been like that as long as I can remember the rest of the Premiership is much the same only on the continent do they have team coaches,Every club when a manager is sacked has a surplus of players that haven’t made the grade but the wages bill continues to grow.

Southgate will not take a Championship job. And quite honestly, I dont think he would do well.

I think we've got something lined up its probably Rhol. Otherwise I reckon hed be elsewhere by now given the mess at Wednesday

Yes, next season may well be a rebuilding year, hopefully with the introduction of younger players brought through the ranks and perhaps bought from the lower divisions. A promotion challenge would be a bonus, but I could live without one so long  as progress is made. I only hope the fans don´t start getting on the new players´backs if they make mistakes that cost us goals or points.

As for a new manager, I have no suggestions, but I think there needs to be one to give the fans (and players) some enthusiasm. Imagine starting the new season with Ruud in charge and Daka  up front.

I know, I can’t stand the bloke tbh. Perhaps I’m just peed off with the situation and I want Rvn gone.

Apologies for a stupid post 😂

Name someone who, if appointed, would cause you to slice off your bollocks with a rusty razor blade ?

I doubt the club will regard next season as a  ‘rebuilding year’. I think they’ll want promotion as soon as possible. Whoever comes in will be expected to deliver that.
