Grebfromgrebland Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 I'm not sure the club can do anything re a replacement as it would leave then open to being sued by Ruud if he found out they were working on replacing him while still a prem club. We would have plans but probably no contact or moves can be made till July 2

Either we've got most things lined up and just waiting for the first domino to fall, or we've done shit all and we're ****ed Don't worry, every time we've been in a similar situation in the last few years it's always worked out fine 1
Gloria Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 As others have said, I'm pretty sure RVN is going post-July 1st. What worries me more than the Dyche deal already being done, is that there's more than a fair few who have already written him off... As I remember it we appointed a young, up-and-coming foreign coach last time - and how did that work out for us?! Just saying... 1 1

There have been/are several championship jobs available and I would have thought he would be high up the wish list of those clubs. We haven’t got the time to sack RVN and then start negotiations with clubs for managers in situ. Whoever comes in will need to be already available. Yep, I think it will be Dyche too. It's obviously probably means nothing, but its been suggested by some ITK's and one of the past more reliable ones who rarely posts these days changed their profile picture to the ginger mourinho this morning. I'm past caring anymore and I think this why the club have decided not to communicate at all, so that when they do announce Dyche its accepted easier because as people are now apathetic. The majority will will just as thankful at any communication from the club and that they have finally done something after 2 months of silience. 2
Fosse93 Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 I don’t want Dyche but if I’m honest, if Ipswich (if McKenna leaves) or Southampton (before Will Still was appointed) got him, then I’d think they have a strong chance of promotion. I’m conflicted on this. It definitely highlights the lack of joined up thinking at the club if he’s appointed. Enzo > Cooper > Ruud > Dyche - make it make sense. 1

Vindaloo FOX Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 BREAKING: Sheffield Wednesday have been given a 3 Window Transfer BAN❌ This is as a result of failing to pay their player wages. Disgraceful from the owner. Shameful from him. 1

Can only hope this somehow instigates some sort of breach of contract that enables Rohl to walk away and means we can press ahead and appoint him without having to pay any compensation. 2
Happy Fox Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 Chansiri needs all the Money he can get , would £1m be enough to get Rohl?

Not saying I know any of this is occurring and basing it on RVNs multiple comments on the issue but it’s there. The question is, is Ruud aware. If he is, the problem highlighted becomes less of a problem.

Ruud's been in the industry to know exactly what's going on and everyone is just playing the game and being professional waiting for the date to come. Meanwhile Ruud has used the opportunity to claim he doesn't know what's going on to make him look a bit less rubbish.
whoareyaaa Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 I would be happy with Dyche so hopefully it’s all lined up 2

He says things like "there hasn't been anymore discussions". The discussion could have already told him he's off. 1
Grebfromgrebland Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 12 days till we have a new manager and backroom staff

If we are not doing anything, even behind closed doors in preparation for his removal (assuming we are not, granted) because of the risk of a claim. Surely, acting in the current manner creates an equal risk - especially for a seasoned operator. My point is, the excuse we can’t do anything because risk A is flawed because of the equal liability with point B. I think if we are sat on our hands we are giving ourselves a bit too much credit.
Foxin_Mad Posted 18 June 2025 Posted 18 June 2025 (edited) Not sure I understand the Carrick love in. So basically replace a bloke who was a world class player who won a few bits in the Dutch league with a a bloke who was a mediocre player and has won the square root of fook all with a decent chairman at Boro. Makes no sense to me. Edited 18 June 2025 by Foxin_Mad 4
Popular Post Ricey Posted 18 June 2025 Popular Post Posted 18 June 2025 (edited) I have been as anti-Dyche as possible over the last few years, whenever his name has inevitably come up, and although I stand by it all, after the near miss with Russell Martin or the thought of Michael Carrick I'm about 5% less disgusted by the idea. However, it would prove that there is zero plan or identity within the club. Just flitting from one extreme to another, gambling on things left, right and centre in the hope that it papers over the gaping chasms that exist within the senior hierarchy of the club.
