I have been as anti-Dyche as possible over the last few years, whenever his name has inevitably come up, and although I stand by it all, after the near miss with Russell Martin or the thought of Michael Carrick I'm about 5% less disgusted by the idea.

....and that's all part of their plan I'm afraid. Called it the other week that I'm indifferent to it all now cause it's dragged on longer than I thought was humanely possible. Having said that, not a fan of Dyche or his lack of developing young prospects.

I’m judging this on our current finances, and recent lack of imagination. It might not be a journey man but recent appointments of cooper, smith and Ruud and Rodger’s all point towards the type of appointment we will make. The difference this time is we are in the championship with a points deduction. So yes I think it will be a freebie, prior experience of domestic league  will be paramount and I’m not sure what style they are going to be becuase there appears to be zero plan. I don’t think you can be begrudge my lack of expectation. 3 of the last 4 appointments shave been truly woeful.

Those four appointments were completely different from each other, so I'm still not sure what kind of pattern you're observing there.

As for our current finances, that picture will change considerably from 1 July. After that, we will be in a position to pay compensation to obtain a manager if necessary.

If Ruud tries to sue us, we should counter sue him under the trades description act.

He has been quite Ruud tbf.

Latest theory is that RVN is due to go July 1st with Dyche lined up, hence why it has been pretty quiet on all fronts.

Dyche will get us promoted, but it won’t be pretty.

Dyche does have Leicestershire links.

The 'internal' person mentioned a couple of weeks ago is Ruud.

They're considering giving Ruud a job he already has?

If pretty is our centre halves and keeper having all game, give me ugly.

So it looks pretty certain that it will be Dyche. Hurry up guys, you can still get 13/8 at Bet Victor!

You’re not helping yourself mate. The intel that the club are considering… letting the person in a job do a job, is not really intel. He’d always have to be an option lol

You 100% wrote that to make people think BBM was going to be considered

Hiring Dyche would make zero sense. No continuity, no squad ready to play his football, and little-to-no money to go out there and buy the squad he'd want/need.

I'm not saying he's a bad manager, but he's not right for us as a club at this moment in time. Hiring him would be a terrible decision if it comes to pass.

Not fussed. Get us back promoted any which way.

At least Dyche will instil some proper standards and he won't have any prima donna behaviour either. Hopefully he gets some leaders back in the squad.

I thought you said an internal candidate had emerged or something along those lines, which intimated it wasn’t the current incumbent.

I don't know how you can be so optimistic.

Dyche would be a terrible appointment, would set us back years in terms of transfers and our academy, football is rigid and turgid to say the least, if we thought Coopers little cameo has set the club back a good few years then Dyche whilst a steady pair of hands, would take us back to pre Pearson.

I think quite a few of us had worked that out already.

With the squad changes we expect over the summer, isn’t this a good time to change course/style?

People bang on about continuity and it’s a fair point, but I don’t really see anyone calling for another possession dominant style of manager. If we want continuity, I thoroughly expect to see someone like Carrick walking through the door.

Whatever manager comes in, whether it’s Dyche, Rohl or someone else, I think we as fans thoroughly expect to see a revamp in the midfield and striker areas. If it is to be Dyche, I think he has a set of defenders that are well accustomed to his style, with the hope we move a couple on too. The only area of concern if Dyche came in, is how he’d view our wingers.
