it’s just like Potter all over again , the popular option gets waved under our noses , but it’s the second choice its really depressing but I don’t think Gary Oneal is a bad choice, there was a point where he was the golden boy in the EPL,  and wolves’ fans loved him.  He must have something about him

Wilder bottled it last season with a far superior squad then Sunderland. Sheffield United will be the peak of his managerial career. He does not belong here at a club with the facilities and youth academy of Leicesters

I don't want him either but there is some sort of logic with Wilder. At the moment I think you would choose from an up and coming manager from the lower leagues or abroad, a man with Championship experience, a promotion expert or someone who has proven to get promoted and survive. O'Neil is in none of these categories.

Seem to remember his teams, Wolves in particular, being on the receiving end of a series wrong VAR calls. Not trying to make a case for him but recall feeling that he'd been hard done by.

I'd take GON over Wilder every single second of the week, Wilder would fall out with everyone for starters 100% the bottom of the barrel.

The only way the hierarchy will ever listen to our demands is if we protest and boycott the King Power.... if we carry on like we are they won't bat an eye lid at what we think as supporters.

I share your pain with the situation my friend, I really do, and I hate to be defeatist, but I don't think it would make any difference.

The clowns at the top  running this sh1tshow are selfish, arrogant and have nothing but disdain for the fans or anyone really.

They care 'not a jot' about anything we do or even say,  and continue just to ignor the situation and meet everything with a deafening silence.

The fanbase is too split with KPFC softies for protests to gain any real traction and boycotts by the same token would also be a non-starter. As I alluded to it earlier they would just be ignored.

Until KingPower sell up and Teflon Jon and Stupid Sue all fvck off, we will never truly move forward, as the rot is too ingrained.

Wonder if they're trying to put pressure on Sheff Weds/Rohl by leaking this? ****ing hope so.

Listening to When You’re Smiling and they say again the club remain admirers but compensation is the likely issue. Feels like another Potter/Corberan situation when not going for our first choice hurt us.

Even more depressing than Steve Cooper.

We've known for months that we need a manager and thats the best we can do. This club is a piss take.

Desperately needed someone who the majority of fans support, one bad result and the crowd will be on his back.

Why is Rohl better than the other names linked?

Seems like it is just he has just not failed quite so obviously.

All names are almost equally underwhelming.

Worked in multiple high profile jobs as a number 2.

Done well to keep Sheff Weds up despite being a basket case club.

Had a high ceiling so might be poached meaning we get more money and someone with ambition.

So nothing then beyond a load of maybes really. Don't get me wrong, I would be happy with Rohl, or some left field appointment, but even then I am unsure they would necessarily be any better than most of the other names we are linked with.

Do think we are very narrow in our thinking also, but assume Wasserman does our thinking for us when it comes to some recruitment.

Wonder who told us about Enzo?

Forest getting Edu and we are stuck with Rudkin and his power point interview process, leading to the most desperate of managers begging for a chance.

Am I the only one confused by reports saying Top is losing patience?

Obviously the first thing is that we take so bloody long to do anything I can't believe anything other than Top having endless patience.  If not, Rudkin should have gone long ago.

But secondly, and more importantly, surely any compensation is agreed in Rohl's contract. It would be impossible for Wednesday's owner to move the goal posts if we pay the compensation,  and if we're really going to discount our preferred choice because of a few quid in compensation, and appoint an interior manager as a result instead, then we truly have learned nothing over the last 12 months.
