Build the future around Bilal, Evans, Alves, Monga, Fatawu, Okoli, Stolarzcyk (think he can become a prem player), Golding.

Don't massively hate this. Personally I'd keep Winks, he was terrific last season, and think he suits how much of the ball we will likely have next year.

Yep unfortunately the tier maker didn't have the younger players to add in, would love to see Braybrooke promoted to the bench atleast. I know Chelsea massively rated Golding so he may come good.
I'd also sell vestergaard if a deal came around, but with over 2 years left I threw him into the 11 because he's good enough at this level, would prefer to see Okoli/Nelson starting together

Shouldn't we be looking at getting rid of Riccy P? Love him to bits, but surely he can take semi retirement in the States or Saudi. He' been injured for most of our 2 relegation campaigns.

Yes maybe. Would be good if not injured tho

Can we afford to terminate the contracts of BDCR and Ayew?

Ayew has been 'better' than Reid this season but I'd definitely prefer to keep Bobby in the Championship. Ayew would sulk around the place but I feel Reid would at-least put some effort in at the lower level. And could be a useful squad player.

My initial prediction is 70ish points and a play off place.

Really depends what we do with striker recruitment. Currently the prospect of Alves/Mavididi, Bilal, Fatawu is exciting, they're too good for that level. Fatawu's injury and BEK playing in a crap side has done us a bit of a favour.

Daka, we might as well sell, has a year left, recoup whatever we can for him. Don't renew Vardy's deal. Sign two strikers (Luis Javier Suarez would be my primary target) with Evans/Popov/Richards as cover options.

Shift as many of Reid, Ayew, McAteer as possible, one probably goes. Kwame Poku has a year left, too good for L1, right age bracket.

At CM/DM, I'd keep Ndidi (if he does stay) and Skipp. Shift the rest including Winks, Choudhury, Soumare. Bit of surgery required here, Niklas Schmidt looks good. Could do with a proper DM that can play a bit too. Braybrooke, Cartwright to provide cover and minutes off the bench.

Kristiansnen will go, I'm fine with Thomas starting. Nelson and Souttar(or Okoli if he stays, doubt it though). Shift Vestibule and Coady if we can. If we could cut a deal for Justin somewhere I'd do it. Bozo and Pereira will be fine.

Stolarcyzk to start.  Sell Mads, pick up a decent young ish 2nd choice. 3rd choice to be a youth keeper. We've spent a villainous amount per minute played on backup keepers over the past 10 years.

So something like this

New ST

Alves/SM, Bilal, Fatawu

Skipp, DM

Thomas, Nelson, Souttar, Woyo/RP

Stolarcyzk

Get the  managerial appointment, ST and DM signings right and we go up automatically again - I just don't think we will

I'd forgotten about Souttar.

I really can’t be arsed to watch another season of James Justin.

Ayew left Palace because they told him they couldn't guarantee him first team football. He apparently is one of those players who wants to play every week and gets very frustrated when he isn't picked. I'm not sure he'll fancy being a squad player in the Championship.

But will he drop his wages? We need someone to cover the amortisation of his final year and offer him wages to tempt him which is unlikely. My concern is he won’t be a squad player hence comments of blocking the next generation coming through.

I know you can’t do this to many for financial reasons but I would fully support them saying to some of them like Coady, Ayew and Reid that nothing personal, but they aren’t part of the future. They won’t be in the squad next year and will be behind Nelson in Coady’s case and Alves, Evans, Monga in Ayew and Reid’s case. If they want to play they can look elsewhere. Not maliciously, just open communication (with our lot yeah right)!

I doubt the club would do this but this is the kind of conversation that will make them question their decisions. If they choose to stay and take the money, they can then be kept away from the training ground and the squad as it’s not the sign of a good professional.

Braybrooke > Golding

Winks is a championship player on PL wages. He also lost his form in the latter end of last season, who knows if we will get the same performance level out of him again.

If there's a market for him we should get rid at the earliest opportunity.

Yep. He obviously loved Marseca and I can't see him grafting at the necessary level for another manager in the Championship. Sell sell sell.

I'm even past caring about talent at this point. Just give me a team of players I want to actually support.

I like this. I’d rather get a new left back in and have JJ as back up, but other than that, I’d rather watch this team grow into themselves for a few years rather than Faes, Winks, Ayew and co sulk it out in the championship.

Trying to be positive

Stolarcyk

Ricardo

Souttar

Nelson / okoli

Thomas

Winks

Choudhury

Musa / monga

Bilal

Alves / mavidid

Striker / Evans / vardy

Doesn't look that bad. And I'd like to think the stinky old boys club could all do a job pretty well in the championship.

But agree, the recruitment has been championship level

Getting Jonny Evans back to play up front and getting Musa back in midfield, you crazy cat!

Ayew joined us because of an upturn in wages and offer of a longer term contract, ditto BDR.

If you genuinely think he will be bothered sitting on the bench in the championship on 70K plus a week then your wrong.

That said he may have a relegation clause in his contact but it wouldnt be more than a 40 per cent reduction which is outlandish wages in the championship.

For what its worth i think RVN will play him up top next season.

Next season is going to be very very hard to watch

He’s been poor since he returned from injury and I don’t think we’ll get anywhere near as much for him as we were hoping a few months ago. With Fatawu’s ACL ruling him out of a big money move, it looks like we may really struggle to generate funds from transfers this summer.

Would rather give Cartwright or Baybrooke a starting role next season, or choudhury if he's still around, or whoever's in our u18 side.

Similar to Danny Ward there's no point using him if he's not at the level required, when he leaves us he will be off to a lower championship/league one side.

Sammy was known as the Leicester Iniesta around the club in the academy.

Was a fantastic prospect and was head and shoulders above in some of the academy games. England U19 captain i think also at some stage.

His injury has set him back and his loan to Dundee wasnt very succesful.

That said, i hope he is fully recovered and has a great pre season as i believe he is good enough to push for a place in first 11 next year.

Great lad as well i am told.
