This season has been an abomination. How different would it have been if Chelsea didn’t knee cap us on arrival into The Premier League by poaching Maresca. I think it really ****ed us up. The fantasy is that he might have kept us up if he’d stayed. But you have to look at Ipswich who kept their highly rated manager and barely doing better than us at the moment.

We'd still be down, cant fix the awful recruitment from upstairs

I think so too. I think this is the strongest Premier League there has ever been. Even the average clubs have become miles ahead of even the best promoted teams. This season and last proves it. All three that came up are going down.

Clothing at straws we are pathetic

Let’s get this straight, the ownership are fully at fault.

we created PSR issues that made the job untenable and forced the sale of our best player. We spent the summer battling legal issues and there was no focus on actually finding a way to survive. nobody with any self respect would come near us.

chelsea saved us. Because without the kdh and Enzo money, the cycle would continue, as we’d be failing psr again

They ruined us more when they come in for Fofana. That genuinely started the unthinkable and we haven't recovered.

I think with Maresca we'd be similar to this in terms of points. He certainly wasn't the answer if we wanted to stay up.

But yeah the real thing that ****ed us was the 22/23 season.

Neither has Fofana if you catch my drift

Blessing in disguise

I don't know why people give Enzo so much credit, he was shite manager, with a terrible style of playing which didn't prepare us for the premier, we got promotion by the skin of our teeth, when we should have romped it, he knew he had no talent and couldn't leave us quick enough to side where the talent of the squad mask his lack of ability and even now most of the Chelsea fans don't rate him.

Good point but we ****ed up so badly it was ridiculous, should never have appointed Cooper or signed the terrible signings we made in the summer.

think we'd be struggling with Maresca but no where near the shitshow we are now.

Maresca really dropped us in it but Top makes a blunder by appointing Cooper and follows it up with another with Van Nimcompoop.

I think if we invest the 25mil we spent on skipp on 3 good players we have a chance of staying up. We were more likely to spend our budget wisely under Enzo than Cooper.

Under Enzo we signed Coady for £8m and Cannon for £7m. Not saying he’d have signed Skipp but I’m not convinced the money would have been spent wiser.
