One of the things that so few media people get ... is just how unselfish Jamie Vardy was.   Time and time again, he set up someone else, rather than be greedy and try to score himself.

One perfect example was Swansea City (away) 2015-16.    It was the match after his record breaking 11 league goals on the trot.   Any self-respecting greedy striker would've wanted to extend it by another goal,   I think we were 2-0 up, and he had a pefect opportunity to go for goal himself.   But he unselfishly just rolled the ball to Mahrez, who slid in his 3rd goal.   Absolute perfect team player.

It’s just hit me again seeing the video that was shown in the ground. Can’t believe he’s gone

I felt worse watching the replay on MOTD than I did watching it live...  Life is wierd like that, I guess?

I love Vardy and we’ll never see his like again, but he’s gone now and I’m looking forward to seeing who steps out of his shadow and becomes the main man. Onwards.

I watched all of his goals today. And then watching the Europa league final just made me realise how special this has been.

Don’t let your grandkids go without knowing about him.

He truly is one of a kind, and I think today it’s really sunk in. It seems like it was written, Vardy after 500 games and 200 goals is closing the chapter on our golden generation. We will likely now end up becoming another relic floating around the lower leagues with the occasional promotion attempt, but it’s likely to be a long, very laborious, painful road from now.

Cherish what Vardy gave us, revisit and relieve the memories he created for us.

Never forget these times, they were good times, times to talk about forever.

This is it. Remember how you felt when you realised when the League and Cup were won. You see other clubs win these things and we didn't then we did and Vardy was at the heart of it

Seeing him and Okazaki back together again made me go off and watch a compilation of Okazaki's Prem goals

Assist for Okazaki's first Prem goal - Vardy

Assist for the bicycle kick goal - Vardy

Assist for Okazaki's last Prem goal - Vardy

Will have to look at that when I have 30 seconds to spare

JAMIE VARDY could be lining up against Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid next season in LaLiga

SunSport can reveal Vardy is a top summer target for Valencia boss Carlos Corberan, who is keen to sign the 38-year-old Leicester City legend.
