I think at his age you don't jump at an opportunity unless it's worth it.

 

Add to that he probably expects a decent signing on fee and wages.

This is what I miss Prime Vardy and Prime Mahrez Fuch I loved watching them both Rip and take the Pi55 out of so many defences including extra special when it’s against so called Top 6 boys !

Ill never forget the great times it was something special to watch these 2 Legends take the Pi55, and for Vards to get the 11th heaven Record when you’re in the ground watching that achievement Now that was something special !!

Those prime years we should have done more.

 

Not a surprise Vardy's best/consistent, and golden boot, came under Rodgers as we needed a manager like that at that time.

This is why the Puel revisionism is so crap, he had a decent side with two world class players in midtable finishing behind Burnley

Few rumours on Twitter of Man United looking at a few free agents including Vardy

Surely with Cunha, Hjolund, Zirkzee and Rashford still on the books he'd end up being 3rd/4th choice?

Another half decent manager in Rodgers ruined by KP by not backing him with signings, he threw his dolls out his pram and made us play schitt !!

The praise for Puel is not about his tactics which were poor but his squad building. It is as clear as ever how important it is for a Leicester manager to steer the club in the right direction in respect to signings after the debacle of last summer signing Ayew, Reid, Skipp, Edouard and the demolition job that Rodgers did on the squad that he inherited. People just appreciate that side of Puel more the worse our squad devolves.

The two shouldn't be mutually exclusive. Any good work Puel did (what did he actually do? Play Chilwell? Macia signed the players) was completely overshadowed by his failure to finish above 9th with Vardy, Mahrez, Maguire, Ndidi etc

100% you only have to look at what Rodgers did with the virtual the same squad over the next two years.
