Encouraging if true. Sheff W were a basket case when Röhl took them over. He then somehow kept them up and has transformed them into a decent footballing team. Granted, they've lost more games than won this season, but looking at the dreadful squad they have, him overseeing a push at play offs (until recent weeks) is a decent effort.

I thought this. Wednesday are horrifically run so it's whether he wants to go through similar here. Not saying we're as badly run as Wednesday, mind.

I just don’t see us getting anyone currently at another club. He’ll of had enough of the championship and the appeal of European football will sway it.

I don’t think he will be going there YET.

They want Glasner badly and also Roger Schmidt if Palace don’t budge.

There  are several candidates such as Blessin, Kwasniok, Henriksen and Anfang in Germany with just as much or more pedigree than Rohl.

It seems to be the hip thing in here to be behind this guy, but what has he actually done? Maybe ignorance on my part, but he just seems to have maintained the status quo of mid-table obscurity at a basket case of a club. Is that really enough to warrant this love-in … or am I missing something, (which is quite likely)!

Got a poor team over performing.

Mildly called out Chansiri which had given him some favour with the support. Plus created a bond alongside Chris Powell with fans, especially at full time.

Well contacted in German football.

They hadn’t won in their first 13 games last season when he took over and were way adrift. They finished comfortably outside of the drop zone. He’s turned them into mid-table obscurity from cannon fodder with a poor squad and a terrible owner.

If his tactical approach is anything like his old pal Hansi's then I'm all for it.

Don't really watch any Wednesday but Flick is a nutter that doesn't believe in defending. Like a Klopp flavoured Kevin Kegan.

Wednesday have definitely fallen off towards the end of the season but a lot of Wednesday fans are not that surprised, having lost their best player to a Southampton loan recall (Shea Charles) and undergoing what most would consider the beginning of a massive rebuild with 12 players leaving (inc 3 loans) and 14 players coming in with a total spend of about £5m (7 free transfers, 4 fees, 3 loans)
They looked like they could nick a championship playoff spot but the turn of the year saw the results start to slip. During this period of bad form, the players have consistently not been paid on multiple occasions, the owner told the fans at a fans forum if they want him gone they should buy the club or find a buyer, and then told the fans if they have a problem with him, he would stop repaying loans and the fans can repay them.

It's one of the most difficult working environments in football at the moment and Wednesday fans, whilst rightly criticising mistakes Rohl has made, overall the vast majority want him to stay and think they will go down next season if he leaves.

Doing some reading and at Wednesday he's handling contract extensions, negotiating transfers and booking hotels himself on top all of the coaching duties. Additionally in a few games he's been very direct and played long to Ugbo/Smith, so he's not a short at all costs ideologue.

I'd be in favour
