Popular Post Sol thewall Bamba Posted 1 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 1 May 2025 One of the few managers I'd have any interest in for next season. We'll get Martin though as it's the easiest option for Rudkin and Nepo baby. 20 2
HitchinFox Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Encouraging if true. Sheff W were a basket case when Röhl took them over. He then somehow kept them up and has transformed them into a decent footballing team. Granted, they've lost more games than won this season, but looking at the dreadful squad they have, him overseeing a push at play offs (until recent weeks) is a decent effort.
AjcW Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Perhaps he's quite settled in the general area and doesn't fancy moving again.
Popular Post StonyFox Posted 1 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 1 May 2025 He would be good, but I imagine our board are too busy patting themselves on the back about the fa cup win to think more than 30 seconds into the future. 6
Leicesterpool Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Daft as it sounds imagine chanting the manager we want, wonder if the board would take note 1

He’ll of had enough of the championship and the appeal of European football will sway it.

They want Glasner badly and also Roger Schmidt if Palace don’t budge. There are several candidates such as Blessin, Kwasniok, Henriksen and Anfang in Germany with just as much or more pedigree than Rohl. 1
DezFox Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 If the mercury is anything to go but I’m not sure local rags are even on the tier list of sources. Take this with a pinch of salt.z
TrentFox Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 It seems to be the hip thing in here to be behind this guy, but what has he actually done? Maybe ignorance on my part, but he just seems to have maintained the status quo of mid-table obscurity at a basket case of a club. Is that really enough to warrant this love-in … or am I missing something, (which is quite likely)! 4

Is that really enough to warrant this love-in … or am I missing something, (which is quite likely)! Got a poor team over performing. Mildly called out Chansiri which had given him some favour with the support. Plus created a bond alongside Chris Powell with fans, especially at full time. Well contacted in German football. 1
SemperEadem Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Chris Powell I worry would feed him ‘best owners in the world’ lines. 1

They finished comfortably outside of the drop zone. He’s turned them into mid-table obscurity from cannon fodder with a poor squad and a terrible owner. Edited 1 May 2025 by Lionator 3
Finnegan Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 If his tactical approach is anything like his old pal Hansi's then I'm all for it. Don't really watch any Wednesday but Flick is a nutter that doesn't believe in defending. Like a Klopp flavoured Kevin Kegan. 2
Pliskin Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 I don’t think we would go for him, hasn’t he publicly criticised the board at Sheff W? I can’t imagine that’s a trait our board would want to take on.

Muzzy_no7 Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Pound for pound he’s probably been the best coach/manager in that division since his appointment. 2
cityfanlee23 Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Wednesday have definitely fallen off towards the end of the season but a lot of Wednesday fans are not that surprised, having lost their best player to a Southampton loan recall (Shea Charles) and undergoing what most would consider the beginning of a massive rebuild with 12 players leaving (inc 3 loans) and 14 players coming in with a total spend of about £5m (7 free transfers, 4 fees, 3 loans) They looked like they could nick a championship playoff spot but the turn of the year saw the results start to slip. During this period of bad form, the players have consistently not been paid on multiple occasions, the owner told the fans at a fans forum if they want him gone they should buy the club or find a buyer, and then told the fans if they have a problem with him, he would stop repaying loans and the fans can repay them. It's one of the most difficult working environments in football at the moment and Wednesday fans, whilst rightly criticising mistakes Rohl has made, overall the vast majority want him to stay and think they will go down next season if he leaves.
Stadt Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Doing some reading and at Wednesday he's handling contract extensions, negotiating transfers and booking hotels himself on top all of the coaching duties. Additionally in a few games he's been very direct and played long to Ugbo/Smith, so he's not a short at all costs ideologue. I'd be in favour 3
