Naw, I can definately see the appeal. It CAN be a doorway back to a mid table PL but you can always end up getting sacked by a team in the Cypriot league like Neil Lennon too. 

 

I think a lot of people outside of Scotland also don't understand the pressure OF managers are under. It's different to how it is in England.

yes our board and Dof need completely revamping, but he is shaping out to be a terrible  appointment. He’s definitely part of the problem

He most definitely is part of the problem, but he isn’t the root of the problem. It sounds very much like he’s been hung out to dry somewhat, yes statistically he’s our worst ever manager, but there’s certain factors to consider, for example he’s not got any of his own staff, he came in on his own… and he hasn’t been able to sign anyone on January (I’m not counting Coulibaly, he’s just a waste). So whilst he’s been poor, it hasn’t been without deeper rooted problems above him. 
 

His press conferences clearly show there’s no comms between him and the board room, he keeps mentioning conversations that need to be had, and alignment….. I get the impression that when Ruud sees Rudkin in the corridor, Rudkin quickly runs away diving into the cleaners cupboard to avoid him. 
 

Unless you’ve got the bollocks of Maresca, it sounds very much like being the manager of LCFC can be a very, very lonely place when things aren’t going well. 
 

I have a degree of sympathy for Ruud, but I’m not suggesting he’s done a good job. But he’s not the first manager to suggest there’s communication problems from Brendan, Maresca and latterly Ruud they’ve all said things that make me wonder if anyone speaks to anyone at all.

See I don’t get all this hung out to dry, the fact of the matter is that the time he was announced their was constant speculation that we would breach PSR, there was history of what Rudkin had done with Rodger’s regarding transfers for almost identical reasons. If a manager is that desperate for a job, (rejected by Burnley, linked to Coventry) don’t complain further down the line when you either haven’t done your due diligence or  didn’t care enough to consider what might happen at the time. 

Both helmets, and both need removing.

Totally agree with this. 

 

What this season has shown me is sacking the manager no longer has the impact it maybe once had. 

 

Of course there are exceptions (Wolves and Everton seem obvious) however Leicester, West ham, Southampton, Man U etc can all point to no improvement. 

 

Without funds for a new manager to bring in any of their new players, coupled with an existing bank of poor players, you are expecting a lot for a manager to turn things around. 

 

Not to dismiss the fact RVN has been every bit as bad as I feared he would be.

He's got a decent reputation in Germany but I'd be surprised if he's done enough as a head coach to get any of those three jobs tbh.
