I know it sounds harsh and I don’t completely disagree with all you say but barnes and Maddison got relegated from the prem not the championship and we know there is a million miles between the 2 pairs of players - I am absolutely 💯 hoping the young lads come through and are good enough from the new crop - would be mad not to want it of course we all do - it’s the perfect scenario all round - but it hasn’t even been close to the case for many years - barnes , kdh and  chilwell have been the only 3 really in 10 years which tells its own story - fingers crossed Nelson and monga are the next few that take their chance

You disagree that having more players in international football at youth level is an indication the quality of players coming through is improving on what it was before?

That’s a bit of an odd view but each to their own!

You did state you disagree with everything in the post that had at the end ‘The fact we've got so many young lads in an around international football is certainly a sign that we're improving the quality of players we're bringing through’

Nope - ‘I don’t completely disagree’ very different

Fair enough. Still think you’re being overly negative about the one single positive thing we have going for the club at the moment….

One of Owlstalk's ITKs.. (thebizzle) is reporting that Rohl won't be attending their pre season training which is due to start this Thursday, so :fc: he's LCFC bound.

It's a given at this point that Rohl is leaving.

It seems increasingly unlikely he's coming here. To be honest, there was never any real reason to think he was other than people wanted it.

I’d be very surprised if we are bringing in a manager whilst having to pay ANY compensation… unfortunately, there’s quite a few available for free.. wether we think they are good enough or not…

I don’t think Dyche is even being considered. And I know Rohl is top of the list. If Dyche was top of the list I imagine they would have been more likely to take the hit on sacking Ruud, and then appointing him on a free. I think we’re gambling on him still being at Sheff Wednesday when we sack Ruud, and I even think we’re gambling on him walking away too… that’s how ridiculous we are!

Think the longer he goes without getting employed the higher the chance he does come here, I am certain Boro would’ve taken him over Edwards, story was he was on their shortlist but at no point does it mention him having interest

Is he contact bound to attend - I understand start is just gym sessions/general fitness? Assuming RVN is sacked, I would like Roh (particularly as I think it would be good for the young players we have on edge of first team), but it's reported he has a £5m release clause in his contract; just cannot see City paying that as well compensation for RVN. Just cannot see this happening, but would like to proved wrong if alternative is Dyche

I agree. I would want him but never seriously linked.

I cannot see Rohl leaving one financial shit show for another one the latest news is not good at all.

our financial issues are with PSR compliance, not actually being flat broke like Wednesday are. To my knowledge, we’ve never paid staff or players late, for example.

whilst this is nothing concrete, if a local rag reporter is claiming him to be the leading candidate, then there has to be SOMETHING in it , I’d think..

Rohl has been repeatedly linked with the Foxes post and according to reporter Graeme Bailey, is the main candidate for the gig.

If he were to change his mind, somehow, he'd be best-suited for LCFC to be honest - via his ability to operate the team well on a tight budget, knows the league, has different formation ideas etc.
