Mickyblueeyes Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Selling Mads for less than we paid for Oliver Skipp. Great business 4 1
adam Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 18 million is poor. Lets hope no one bids for Abdul or Rudders will let him go for £5m.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Too good of an opportunity to make some decent profit. Confident Stolarcyzk will be more than capable in the championship. If we get promoted we can always reassess.
supernuk Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 A great keeper. Think the most we were ever gonna get was 22 million. If the 18 includes 2 million add ons and sell on clause not too shabby. I'll say this I'd rather us keep BEK than Mads. We must now bring in Kone and a top Cm. 3
Spanner73 Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Rudkin again Ole, ole Rudkin again Ole, ole Rudkin again !!! Rudkin again !!! Rudkin again Ole, ole

Tommy Fresh Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 1 minute ago, happy85 said: It a fair deal People forget Mads form massively went downhill Exactly form, a bad run of form in two years wouldn't have clubs questioning his ability

Tuna Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 £18 million if true is a crap deal. We were talking about £40 million a year ago Probably a bit optimistic.
Safestandingfox Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Right price at the right time for everyone involved I'd say Decent profit, Jakub number 1, move onto some incomings now
Craig Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 4 minutes ago, happy85 said: It a fair deal People forget Mads form massively went downhill He was playing with an injury. 2

He’s a great buy for them at £18m, ideally we’d get £25m which we seemed to give a real good go at holding out for, but we need to sell and he’s one of our very few sellable assets. With nobody else in for him, we don’t have too much choice when £13m profit is on the table
Spanner73 Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Shall we pay his wages in full for his first 3 years at West Ham as well, it’s the least we can do

Aleksz Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Was never going to be more than 20m realistically in the current state of play. Clubs aren't exactly queuing up for him. Happyish with 18m. Hope there's a decent sell on in there.

Buzzell Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Surprised Chelsea haven’t approached us for him this summer.
UniFox21 Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Majority of us would have taken ~ £30m for Mads, Coady and Wilf (£18m, £9m, 2m). Not including wages saved 4
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Hoping there is some add ons on top of the initial fee. I have a feeling we’ve settled for slightly less than we wanted so we can kick start our recruitment. 1

Not including wages saved Fair way to view it, I would have wanted £35m but looking at it this way, you would have settled for £30m. Although the total is £28m 👀 Edited 7 August 2025 by Bluearmyfox28
