I'm not going to pretend I'm not annoyed we are selling arguably our best player to West Ham for less than £20m but that's where we are

He was a good keeper but certainly not outstanding. He was shocking after the injury break and for me was too easily beaten with long shots. He wasn't the tallest keeper either which I think showed at times.  He won't go down as one of city's best (but we have quite a high benchmark for keepers!) but he was adequate for what we needed during the very short period he was here.

Good bit of business I think. Stolarcyk is as good, if not better than Mads so not a bit fussed about him going. Use this money, plus Ndidi and Coady sales/wages to bring in a couple of players and we will be fine!

Hermansen was solid until he got injured.

The fee is in the ball park I expected to be honest.

He can pass and fits the current role people look for in Goalkeepers. He’s much better at this than Stolarkzyk.

However I don’t think we’ll notice a considerable drop off between old school goalkeeping, I.e actually keeping the ball out of the net.

Find it amazing that the club and Rudders have made 300% profit, on a player they sourced and signed……In any other environment that’s a brilliant return, at a time it is sorely needed….players are and always will be, worth what somebody will pay….we’re there any other interested parties….nope…..so that’s what he’s worth. Like Wilf, Vards, he has been great for our club, and goes with credit….sense some momentum/structure that has been sadly lacking……looking forward to Sunday…..

Where is this structure and momentum you are seeing,  Selling a player under value, that weakens our XI?

If this means bilal has more chance of staying then I'm all for it

You would imagine Marti is screaming in Rudkins ear to make sure we keep him, if not we have Winks, Skipp and Soumare in midfield..

I find it funny how some aren’t bothered by this and saying he’s nothing special, the guy (when not injured) was proving to be one of the best GK’s in the league if I’m not mistaken. He saved more goals than he should have let in and was outstanding in a number of games for us.

I for one will be sad to see him go, he’ll go on to have one hell of a career in my opinion.

If it’s £20m then that’s decent, would have wanted more but beggars can’t be choosers.

Let’s hope Jakob does the business, if not we have a decent backup in. AB.

Genuinely one of the best keepers in Europe before his injury yet he’s ’nothing special’ and we’ve apparently done really well to get £20m.

Same fans are in the Ndidi thread thanking him for his service despite the fact he’s been paid extremely well to be utter dogshit for nearly 4 years!

Differing opinions are what make football interesting I guess!

Bilal will not be staying. He is the next player to leave and make us weaker. We need to drain the swamp, In my opinion bilal, mads and ndidi are not the swamp that needs draining.

All 3 considerably weaken us. I get It has to happen but these are not positive moves in my opinion. They are born out of necessity to cover up our increasing list of mistakes. Worst part is all of our mistake (Coady aside) are still here.

Buy high, sell low - the Rudkin way

Signed for £5m, sold for £20m

This literally debunks what you've said.

We wont sell bilal now we've sold coady, mads and ndidi and not signed a striker. Thats £30m in, Vardy's wage of £6 or £7m off the wage bill, ward and iversen gone and players like Justin and Kristiansen likely to go.

I'm guessing the stats that are meant to be particularly damning here are his save and clean sheet percentages? The former is accounted for by the incredibly high quality of the shots we allowed the opposition to take and the latter by the fact he was playing behind an absolute clown show defence. No shit he conceded a lot of goals playing with Wout Faes and Conor Coady.

Interesting how many people are saying Stolarczyk is better at both shot-stopping and dealing with crosses yet the stats that actually correspond to those two things are in Hermansen's favour.

40 million put him in the top five transfers for goalkeepers. I'm sorry but won't be anywhere near that level in 12 months.

If he has a very good season with West Ham I think you would be surprised but it's all conjecture anyway

Sorry, what!? We're going from a top keeper to an ok one. And one who can play the way we want, to one that can't.

It's a huge downgrade and one that massively dents our promotion hopes.
