Parker Pen Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 I wonder what part of Chelsea FC they will have to sell to their own holding company to fund this purchase!
Ric Flair Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 We'd need to be pretty desperate to sell him as I just dont see a fee of more than £18m being offered at this stage and that would be a majorly low to what his potential is. Really depends how much we may need to raise by the end of June.... 1

Simonb Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 They'll probably offer 12m knowing we need the money.. or maybe pay over the odds.. 20m and we buy a prospect off them for about 8m.. like the KDH/Golding deal so we both make a psr profit. Rather keep him myself but I can see it happening if there is anything in it
K789 Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 With only 2 years left on contract he's in the sale window. Oxford fans were saying Chelsea were scouting heavily. Anything north of £20 mill would ve reasonable
BKLFox Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 (edited) Just can’t see it, 6mths with Oxford to champions league 🤷♂️ Whilst Enzo will give him time and allow him to make mistakes Chelsea and their fans won’t, they not sold on Enzo yet, he’s not what they need anyway. They need an established leader, they have enough young CBs they need a VVD type to come in and pull them together at the back like when he joined Liverpool, not another young lad looking for support. MPH Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 (edited) I’d be very surprised if he goes to Chelsea. He won’t get any first team games.. maybe Carabo cup, but he’s probably a nailed on starter in the champ for us this coming season. If he has a stellar season for us then maybe he’d go for it… Edited 16 May 2025 by MPH
LCFCCKEANO Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 For me the only things exciting me enough to go back are Nelson and Fatawu, if they sell either genuinely gonna sack it off and use my season ticket money on a holiday instead, bored of this club now

They have us by the balls tbqh and if we need cash they will play us like a fiddle. We will be getting someone on loan in return
Simonb Posted 16 May 2025 Posted 16 May 2025 We're in the sh1t ain't we.. another option could be they take him off us for 15m with him staying on loan for a season
Kp1984 Posted 17 May 2025 Posted 17 May 2025 If we are selling bilal and mads we don’t need to sell him. So if the club do then that’s so stupid and is yet another reason we need change in the board and maybe at the top
SafewayFox Posted 17 May 2025 Posted 17 May 2025 Just get Chelsea to talk to Guy Branston after his peculiar comments about Nelson….that will put them off 😜 1
Claudio Fannieri Posted 17 May 2025 Posted 17 May 2025 I don’t want to see him sold In the slightest, however when you have managed to royally screw things up to the levels Top and Rudkin have managed over these last few years but you are still hell bent and desperate to get back to the big time in the quickest and shortest route possible, then of you can eek out £20m of pure profit for Nelson then I reckon they go for it as that equates to £60-£100m in PSR terms to spend on new players on contracts between 3-5 years, and i think given this here and now strategy we seem to be operating in, it will be attractive to them both, with little thought or care for the longer term…… Desperate people makes desperate decisions ………… 3

He got us in this mess, but he's not getting us out unless they have to do things like this. Our squad is getting weaker and weaker, season after season. If we're not careful we'll just be a forgotten team in the championship competing for the playoffs at best. This was the season we could have broken the mould of teams going up coming straight back down. They blew it big time. The gap will widen. Selling Nelson is another short sighted fix for them. We need football people otherwise Wrexham will over take us and that would be unbearable 2
Ted Maul Posted 17 May 2025 Posted 17 May 2025 This would really piss me off. You just know they will do it as well. £20m + pure profit. Blame it on PSR. Business as usual. 3
LCFCJohn Posted 17 May 2025 Posted 17 May 2025 I don’t think Chelsea will come for him. I know Sky aren’t the most reliable but they are reporting other targets. However, someone like Bournemouth could easily come in for him. They are about to bank £50mill selling their young CB Huijsen to Real Madrid. Nelson would be the type of replacement they go for. 1

Correct. Just thinking where he'd be on the depth chart at Chelsea. With any luck KDH will tell him not to bother.

Yeah. It’s just a shame that Top, Rudkin and co have f***ed us so much that in the past, only a handful of clubs, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City would be able to take players off us. Whereas now, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Crystal Palace etc would all be step ups from us. 2
TrentFox Posted 17 May 2025 Posted 17 May 2025 The argument that he won’t get game time at Chelsea is kind of irrelevant. They invest heavily in players and immediately farm them out to develop and either become assets or quickly sell them on and recoup. He might well spend the next two seasons on loan before he’s in contention for a starting berth there. A great move for the player and Chelsea. Depending on the fee, a poor one for us. 1
DezFox Posted 17 May 2025 Posted 17 May 2025 Our board will be happy with this. Can’t believe their luck, gets them out of PSR trouble and doesn’t impact us much as we have faes, vestergard and Coady!

Jeez, he'd be even more insufferable if his son got to Chelsea.
