The problem is, Top and Rudkin are still in charge, and whilst they are, very little will change on how this club is run. We can take the hit on punishments, but we are still likely to hire wrong managers, sign poor players and be reckless with spending and the rules, whilst they are still making the decisions.

We need to get very lucky with this next Managerial appointment. Someone who can take as much control away from those two as possible.

Absolutely spot on the next manager must have full control of team affairs and the ins and outs of players .... Top and Rudkin need to get on with something else ... starting with fan appreciation

Having just got away with the last one by a bollock skin, they were probably advised against it

They were advised against following a loophole that has just given Chelsea near unlimited room to spend? Do you hear yourself

Simon Jordan was talking the other day about how experts are prediction the womens game to explode and be worth as much as the Mens in 10 years time...how likely that is I'm unsure but would mean Chelsea have scuppered themselves by selling the women's team now!

lol What kind of experts were these. I've just seen something that Switzerland's women lost 7-1 to Lurzen's U15. Who is seriously going to pay huge sums in TV money, sponsorship etc for something if inferior quality. The women's world cup made something like 50 less than the men's and they're expecting that gap to be bridged in 10 years? Even 50 years is ambitious as it's pretty unlikely it will ever be completely on par with the men's team. But 10 years is just a ridiculous comment.

More importantly, why must it always be compared to the men's game. It does it no good and just harm. It's already being ruined by the massive disparity in resources between the top and bottom.

I believe there's some type of caveat which prevents the sale without consulting the fans @Foxes_Trust Can you clarify

Correct. The stadium is registered as a Asset of Community Value which provides some protection. If the current owners decide to sell, the prospective new owners would need to talk to the Trust.

Just making an observation on what was said by someone that's relatively on it regarding the footballing financial landscape.

I imagine they're looking at where women's football was 10 years ago to today and then estimating where it'll be 10 years from now.

Our friends at the 2nd tier podcast have Kieran Maguire on Sundays show to discuss our situation, might be worth a listen.

Lets hope he continues along the vein of believing we can't get punished because that'll boil those derby boys piss a lot!

We aint Chelsea.

If by now you don’t see that the ‘big’ 6 get a pass, there’s no hope.

However a top drawer lawyer like a certain Mr Di Marco should be able to drive a bus through that and bring the whole PSR charade down, whilst the premier league may turn a blind eye, a legal challenge would bring this down like a pack of cards.

I ain’t sure we are going to get hit quite as hard as some think, for the very reason that some of the work arounds being used by clubs like Chelsea make it a farce and therefore the authorities would be wise to be seen to punish us but at a level that doesn’t create a legal challenge and further scrutiny on a set of “rules” that are losing credibility by the minute.

Villa about to do the same thing. It’s a no brainer that’s allowed under the rules yet our owners too incompetent to even consider it

We are honestly his best chance of ending PSR. After Man City 's case is concluded, we should fully go for it.

I have to disagree with this - the way they've behaved (the Premier League) over PSR has been absolutely shocking. This was a quote from the independent commission who reduced Everton's sanctions:

“In our view, many if not most of the criticisms levelled against the club in this respect by the PL are unwarranted, overstated, or both."

Their pursuit of us, across leagues and against their own rules, has been relentless, irrational and outrageous. They want to punish us as much they possibly can. I honestly think they were surprised that we stood up for ourselves and beyond shocked when we won that case in September. They are absolutely out for blood.

Which is why the club HAS to defend itself.

Can anyone offer any insight in to what the possible punishment might be for failing to submit our accounts on time? I don't recall any club getting points deductions for that in the past, but perhaps the EFL are different.

Be interesting to hear if Maguire still thinks only the PL will be able to bring charges for the 3 year period ending 23/24.

I personally don’t think we will get anything applied to this season. So I can see this dragging out to the point where the PL either have to just settle on giving us a big fine and potentially take points off us from the PL season just gone.

There’s too many grey areas, and plus theEPL have rewritten the rules to have another go? That can’t wash surely. If an independent panel actually dish out punishment for this will be completely unjust. I know we’ve breached, and that’s obvious, but as much as we want to bash the club, inconsistent rules and regulations has to be addressed….. what should be happening is the PL and the EFL need to be told that their rules and regulations aren’t fit for purpose, and should be re written, and then applied from the moment the new rules are accepted by all.

You couldn’t do this in criminal law, so why should you be able to do it in civil settings?

It’s a mess from all quarters, the crooks of the situation is football is ****ed.

Considering King Power have resolved their issues I don’t think this is the case at all….. and in any event, this kind of thing has nothing to do with your finances, you’re simply moving one asset to another area making it appear like you’re selling something to something else. When you’re not, you’re simply moving money around from one business area to another.

The fact we dont really hear much credible info on this says to me its going to be dragged out through the courts for a long time.

also if there was a chance we would be hit with a transfer embargo surely we would get all our business done before then? Or at very least soon as july books open?

Not sure on any punishment but assuming it’s minimal it has crossed my mind if we have been advised by Maguire or elsewhere to submit them late, either as a ploy to delay punishment or for some other reason.

I'm sure a year ago some people on here were predicting as much as a 16 point deduction.  We ended up with zero.  Just saying...

Well this summer he's been pouring liberal amounts of cold water on claims that we'll get a massive deduction, so let's hope he's not a clueless twat. He's also very good mates with Nick De Marco, so presumably has an inside track on how the club is likely to defend itself against the latest PL charges...

Didn't they change the rules so these decisions have to fast tracked and dealt with in the same season.

Might be another potential angle if they try and hit us with a big points deduction.
