Really? I can't imagine Nige publicly slagging off another manager. When was this?

In the play off final pre match or post match or the play off legs can’t remember exactly

Just like this season, it will be going into the new season with a manager that a large percentage of the crowd don't like. A lot of people will be waiting for him to fail, waiting for us to pass it around at the back needlessly and then groan.

We don't need that negativity, we need something that everyone can unite behind.

Changes coming

Russell Martin is in contention to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy as Leicester City manager, talkSPORT understands.

The Foxes have also held talks with Sean Dyche.

Ex-Southampton boss Martin has made the final shortlist at Rangers, but the Scottish giants are believed to be leaning towards reappointing Steven Gerrard.

Van Nistelrooy is yet to be told his future by Leicester's hierarchy.

However, he is almost certain to be sacked following relegation to the Championship this season.

The media are so frustrating in times like these. It's impossible to know if all of the big media companies are just bandwagoning on the Football Insider article or if there is multiple sources all saying the same thing.

Football Insider have said "sources", the Mail have not said who their source is at all (but the post came after Football Insider), Talksport "understands" based on what? The BBC so far have been the only source with any sort of backbone to actually point out that Football Insider is the source they are basing their article on.

It just feels like one blog site posts something, then a couple of media companies jump on the bandwagon to farm clicks, before you know it it's nailed on because all of the "most reputable" media companies are giving it credibility by writing about it despite not knowing if it's actually true or some story that came from Jay Cartwrights contacts at the FA.

I understand that media organisations sometimes need to hide sources, but it takes the piss when they constantly spread information based on rumours they haven't verified.

Sorry, the thought of these organisations giving this story credibility is scaring me, Rant over lol

Hopefully it's a Rudkin engineered psyop so we aren't too disappointed when we keep Ruud.

Just goes to show that the propagation of digital misinformation is as much an issue in football as anywhere else.

Also, for all our sakes, it really had better be misinformation in this case.

Might as well keep Ruud. Is it too late to cancel my season ticket renewal?

I was thinking this too! I suppose we're locked in now but this really would be the icing on the cake. Could Top be so utterly utterly stupid?

One crumb of hope is that the Mail article wasn't by Tom Collomosse, who usually has the inside on us.

For the chief sports writer to stick it down though suggests good source

The funny thing is I think he probably gets us play-offs at a minimum (barring any disastrous points deductions) but you know what will happen if we end up going up.
