Popular Post SouthamptonGoMad Posted 21 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 21 May 2025 (edited) In all seriousness it genuinely wasn't his fault that we've sank like a brick in the ocean in the Premier League It was pure and simply because we were shit on so many more levels than just the coaching staff I can assure you. With a few not too drastic adjustments (hanging on to Prowse and Danny Ings might have helped 🤦), it almost possibly maybe could have sorted of worked. Cutting out stupid passing from inside the 6yd box would have cured a hell of a lot of it, as would have having a defence brave enough to receive it. He'll get you out the championship. Good luck guys. See you on the other side. UTS Edited 21 May 2025 by SouthamptonGoMad 8

Harboro Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 Martin, multiple attempts to get Potter, Cooper, Rodgers, even Sousa - can they really not be more imaginative than looking at a list of people who’ve managed Swansea 2

Not either/or. No matter how amazing he is, you can’t afford to be paying anyone 70k in the championship… and he will absolutely get that or more at a different club. The club would almost be embarrassed to offer him 20-30k and that’s probably all we can do now.

They've decided that rather than just the unwanted players at Southampton, we'll have the unwanted manager too. 😂 1
It'sblueupnorth Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 If this is true I’ll quite literally be going to 4/5 games tops, all away just so I can tick the ground off. **** the board 1

A midfield can’t midfield and no strikers who can shoot. What could go wrong! Sure he will take us far away from the Championship…League 1 Edited 21 May 2025 by Foxin_Mad

Currently we are under investigation for PSR, so would we sack RVN, In fact we are likely to keep RVN, rather then Pay compensation. I think is a duff rumour( hoping) What not under investigation for PSR we have been for the season we loop holed are way out of a points deduction when we was last in the championship. They changed the rules and now think they can charge us for it. So sacking RVN won’t matter as long as we sell and stay within the threshold

An Away Move Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 2 hours ago, Pratlinho said: Swans fan in peace. For our sakes I hope this is true. We've got our own ambitions to return to the Premier League and having one of our likely rivals for that managed by Russell Martin can only help our cause. For your sakes I hope it doesn't happen. He's easily the Swans manager I've loathed the most in his time at the club. An arrogant, stubborn, tactically idiotic buffoon with a complete inability to get the best out of the players at his disposal and total willingness to blame them when things go wrong. He may play some youth players but he will chuck them under the bus at the first opportunity if he can shift responsibility for failure from himself in the process. He's far from the nice guy his cheerleaders in the media enable him to portray himself as too. Brendan Rodgers 2.0 then.
Lambert09 Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 For the players Martin is good for: winks ricardo vestergaarde soumare fatawu mavi nelson alves monga evans hermansen bad for: coady Justin okoli daka Skipp ndidi (possibly) bdr ayew others don’t really land either side of it. or unsure. We spent a summer undoing enzos work to revert back to it. I don’t think it’s an awful decision by the club but I’m really not looking forward to it. What I will say is that I’d be worried to be a defender at this club because Martin’s system makes you look complete horse sh*t. And considering how bad they just were… I don’t think many fans will stay calm when JJ rolls a ball to a striker on the penalty spot 1
80footgiraffe Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 ITt's pretty spectacular that the only team worse than us in the division this season is seen as a scouting opportunity for a new manager. He's so ****ing David Brent it's unreal. Look at Rohl, or someone abroad with an interesting ethos. Look at Heitinga ffs.
OadbyBlue Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 Top must be stuck in 2013 when Southampton were the model club to try and emulate. Really is ridiculous how many of their cast offs in terms of both players and staff we have taken since appointing Puel, especially when we have finished above them in every single one of those seasons. I’m sure Russell will finally be the man to break that trend. 1

Martin has his defenders here too, but they're all a bit weird and most of them have gone very quiet over the last twelve months.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 I’m done with the football club. Martin is a honking manager, get KP out now!
