Because nowhere reliable has called it yet. TalkSport and Football Insider seem certain about it, but neither are known for breaking Leicester-related exclusives. Nothing from John Percy, Rob Dorsett or any of the Mercury/Radio Leicester reporters yet. It's a bit strange - if it were really a done deal, you'd expect wider coverage than it's getting at the moment.

Haven’t the mail also said it as well as Geoff peters. I’m sure he gets most things right for us?

can take them out cos they rarely get anything exclusive in terms of transfers/managers

No, but it's about getting us promoted and if we do go with Martin, then those I mentioned have proven to have been successful at Championship level playing that style of football. I also added Skipp and BEK as they could also be top players in the Championship (more so BEK).

This is where I'm at with it, unless of course Vardy was Percy's leak, I don't see why he wouldn't have been on this! To me I'm seeing it as noise and best case we get Danny Rohl, then keep Ruud and then last chance saloon with Brussell for me!

The Mail said it was 'imminent' a week ago but hasn't mentioned it since. And I wouldn't classify them as reliable anyway. Geoff Peters supports Leicester and you'd assume has some good contacts, but he works for TalkSport, which is known for broadcasting/publishing 'speculative' stories and presenting them as much more solid than they really are.

He may well do. At the very least I think it's safe to assume he's under consideration. But I can't shake the feeling that it isn't as anywhere near as close as some reports have led us to believe.

We scored a massive 2 more goals than Southampton in 23/24. They were the third highest scorers in the league.

Sadly it’s always about style when Russell Martin is concerned. 
 

He said on Lineker’s podcast, “Sometimes it will take twenty passes, sometimes it will take one”. But as we thoroughly well know, it’s more about the twenty passes, over one pass, and that shows in their 10+ pass sequence statistics, which as I’ve posted before, makes for hilarious reading. 
 

In my personal opinion, it doesn’t matter who the manager is, I think we have to be extremely patient where Monga and Evans are concerned, I just don’t see them getting consistent minutes, just because the likes of Mavididi and Fatawu are ahead of them, but in Nelson’s case if Chelsea don’t snatch him, and in Alves’s case, Russell Martin best utilise them on a regular basis next season, or fans will be on his back very quickly.

But when delving into managers weeks ago, Russell Martin’s time at Swansea did come with some positives in terms of ages of their squad. 
 

I posted this months ago, but I might as well post it again, if he brings a shred of this to Leicester City, then I think he’ll get a few more fans on his side.

Well many people in 1996 wanted Martin O'neill to be sacked, People said Vardy wasn't good enough, Some people didn't Like big Nige.
