TalkSport and Football Insider seem certain about it, but neither are known for breaking Leicester-related exclusives. Nothing from John Percy, Rob Dorsett or any of the Mercury/Radio Leicester reporters yet. It's a bit strange - if it were really a done deal, you'd expect wider coverage than it's getting at the moment. 3

No, but it's about getting us promoted and if we do go with Martin, then those I mentioned have proven to have been successful at Championship level playing that style of football. I also added Skipp and BEK as they could also be top players in the Championship (more so BEK).

This is where I'm at with it, unless of course Vardy was Percy's leak, I don't see why he wouldn't have been on this! To me I'm seeing it as noise and best case we get Danny Rohl, then keep Ruud and then last chance saloon with Brussell for me! 1

The Mail said it was 'imminent' a week ago but hasn't mentioned it since. And I wouldn't classify them as reliable anyway. Geoff Peters supports Leicester and you'd assume has some good contacts, but he works for TalkSport, which is known for broadcasting/publishing 'speculative' stories and presenting them as much more solid than they really are.

LCFCCHRIS Posted 27 May 2025 Posted 27 May 2025 Fans will turn so early if this doesn’t work. especially when Fatawu gets halfway into the opponents half with acres of space only to pass back to Justin because “possession”. 2
Foxdiamond Posted 27 May 2025 Posted 27 May 2025 Maybe going to Rangers? Would leave a question as to who might be alternative 1

kingfox Posted 27 May 2025 Posted 27 May 2025 1 hour ago, FrankieADZ said: that is really really clutching id say, didnt really do much with the team tho, was more style of substance dont get me wrong i think alot more of us wouldnt mind RM IF IF he had the balls to actually change his style more, he might have changed it during the play off final but hes stubborn to a fault with his style and as we saw with Enzo it didnt always work, youve got to be adaptive not reactive, and why do a 20 passes at times when 4/5 can be just as effective, Dont get me wrong if he does become the manager Ill give him a chance but hes got to give the youth a chance, no stupid signings, take no shite from the chuckle brothers and actually so he has more strings to his bow than just the tippy tappy shit Sadly it’s always about style when Russell Martin is concerned. He said on Lineker’s podcast, “Sometimes it will take twenty passes, sometimes it will take one”. But as we thoroughly well know, it’s more about the twenty passes, over one pass, and that shows in their 10+ pass sequence statistics, which as I’ve posted before, makes for hilarious reading. In my personal opinion, it doesn’t matter who the manager is, I think we have to be extremely patient where Monga and Evans are concerned, I just don’t see them getting consistent minutes, just because the likes of Mavididi and Fatawu are ahead of them, but in Nelson’s case if Chelsea don’t snatch him, and in Alves’s case, Russell Martin best utilise them on a regular basis next season, or fans will be on his back very quickly. 1 hour ago, Uncle Monty said: Finally, something promising from Martin! If he gives our youngsters a chance, he'll earn more patience from the fans – and certainly from me. I can stomach a boring draw or loss if our academy lads are getting playing time and showing promise. What I can't stand is seeing overpaid journeymen with nothing to play for out on the pitch. I see some Southampton fans saying we’ll be in for a shock if we expect Martin to play our youngsters. But when delving into managers weeks ago, Russell Martin’s time at Swansea did come with some positives in terms of ages of their squad. I posted this months ago, but I might as well post it again, if he brings a shred of this to Leicester City, then I think he’ll get a few more fans on his side. 2
