Hopefully these lot piss off to Argentina and go into hiding too

I love LCFC as much as the next man, but I am so glad I didn't renew my ST for this season so i can do my bit to try and initiate change Funny you should say that, I was sat near the corporate area on Sunday and I did hear Rudkin mention to Top something about the immediate need for change and then mentioned the name Jonnyboy and something about him not renewing. Makes sense now. Edited 21 May 2025 by adejo92 1

Even if he had kept that up (he wouldn't have), we would have been on 31 points, still relegated with games to spare. The damage with Cooper was already done. I actually don't think he'd have done as well as Ruud did because he wouldn't have got those two results against West Ham and Brighton. I've not seen a Leicester manager, a Leicester squad and Leicester fans be so out of touch with each other we all were under Cooper. 1
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 (edited) Is it just the Daily Fail reporting this? Not exactly the most knowledgeable football coverage usually. Edited 21 May 2025 by Trav Le Bleu
kingfox Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 Tactical piece on him here https://the-footballanalyst.com/southampton-russel-martin-tactical-analysis/ The only thing going for Russell is some good pressing and high turnover statistics. As I’ve alluded to already, his in possession statistics are fvcking depressing.
Wortho Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 This is ridiculous. I was even a bit more confident when we got Cooper. I can’t see anything positive about this appointment,

fox_favourite Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 (edited) If it's Russell that tells me a few things 1. Bobkin is staying 2. The club haven't learnt anything at all 3. We are probably going to rely on youth, so not much money....again!! 4. We are still hung on Enzoball 5. They are even more shortsighted than I originally thought. Doesn't sound good to me. All the things we need to move away from, of I'm honest. Edited 21 May 2025 by fox_favourite 4

BigC Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 Sounds like we're appointing Wayne Rooney reading this thread
filbertway Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 The only positive I'm taking is that people were talking about Dyche like it was a done deal last week
brucey Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 (edited) Please no. Genuinely would take any of RVN, Cooper, Dyche, Rodgers, Puel over bloody Russell Martin. We also haven't got the money to pay off yet another manager. RVN should be good enough to get this squad back up - if he isn't, we can make that decision a few months into next season. Lets not kid ourselves, RVN is a dreadful manager. Martin is definitely better than him with regards to managing in the Championship, but still, he should be near the bottom of our list. The club only ever seem to go for cheap/free possession based managers who have managed in England.

We need to be clever, which Rudkin and co are quite clearly not good at.
